Does anyone else find the spartan ops dialogue cheesy, forced, predictable, or just plain poorly voice acted?
If I hear Palmer utter another line I’m going to straight shoot my xbox.

Here is the basic pattern all missions follow:
Palmer:
CRIMSON, GO DO ____
Miller:
>Some information<
Palmer:
>Chastises Miller<
Miller:
BAD GUYS INBOUND.
Palmer:
DALTON, GIVE CRIMSON SUPPLIES.
Dalton:
You got it commander x9001
Palmer:
Lets go home.
That made me laugh so hard
I don’t enjoy the dialogue very much, all the repeated lines and cheesy thing’s that are said. It’s all eggheads and bad guys. Heck even Roland acknowledges how annoying they can be at times. Roland is the only one I tolerate because of that reason.

You forgot this:
Miller:
Uh oh… more bad guys are beating up Majestic or some marines or scientists.
Palmer:
PSYCH! Scratch that Crimson, you’re gonna go help them or some marines or scientists that got in over their head. YOU WILL NEVER GO HOME.
Barnacles.
On the plus side, Roland is well scripted.
For example, in one mission a single watcher floats in and Roland is like “AHHHH, PROMETHEANS!”.
Then when told to calm down he says that miller does it all the time.
> Palmer:
> PSYCH! Scratch that Crimson, you’re gonna go help them or some marines or scientists that got in over their head. YOU WILL NEVER GO HOME.
Lulz.
Keep in mind that a new episode is released every week. That doesn’t leave much time for poetic dialogue. I realize that these have been planned out in advance but I think it’s more important that they get the gameplay working correctly and focus on the dialogue later.
Having Roland make fun of the others at least shows that the developers are aware of it.

Really, I just assumed it was all on the disc and they just unlocked it periodically.
That would explain why Palmer was absent from a few missions though…
When Roland goes “AHH Prometheans!”… That was the funniest thing that anyone has said in game.
On a related note,I really felt Miller should have been given a different role,ANYTHING other than a Spartan. When I think of Spartans I think of one-man-armies,engines of destruction, beings that give the enemy nightmares.Miller’s dialogue makes him seem like such a “wuss” it’s almost insulting to the Spartan “image”. Definitely doesn’t seem Spartan material to me.
My big issue with the dialogue beside how cartoony it is, is how casual it is. These are elite military ops and you have chatter on coms, even some events not even related to the mission.
I understand that Halo never did military chatter perfectly, but I’d like to hear more, “copy that” and “RTB” than “Eggheads” and “you got it!”
Don’t even get me started on kill count competitions…

Uggghhh… “Eggheads”

This.
All the episodes we’ve played were finished before halo 4 even came out.
