First I would like to point out that I love to play Spartan Op’s. I like how well made the main story line is and the gameplay. The films that are shown for each weeks Op’s is as well made as the Campaign cutseans. However when you actual play the Spartan Op’s missions its like 343i rushed the dialog thats within them. I was playing episode 5 mission 1 today and I almost had to lower my volume. The bickering between the commanders or whatever was VERY annoying. Was this suppose to be funny? It would of been better if there was no dialog at all if this was all 343 could come up with. It sounded like two twelve year olds fighting over the radio.
honestly the dialog in spartan ops is bad. Sarah comes off as stuck up and Miller doesn’t seem like he should ever be a spartan. Rolland is now a smart -Yoink!- idiot. Interestingly this is only in the spartan ops games, the cg scenes and campaign are great in character and well played. This makes the bad writing in spartan ops all the more glaring. That said i enjoy spartan ops but get a new writer next season for the in game dialog.
