It seems like the graphics (texture, lighting, etc.) are better or are of higher quality in the Spartan Ops cut-scenes/mission briefings. Is there actually a difference in quality and did this strike anyone else? If it’s true I wonder why 343i would do that. Please comment and tell me what you think!
That’s called a Cinematic cutscene, it’s different from a Gameplay cutscene, i’m aehm pretty sure there will be Cinematics in Campaign too, well at least i hope so…
Spartan Ops will feature pre-redered cutscenes while the Campaign mostly uses in-game cutscenes. Ever wondered why animated movies generally look better than games?^^
Look at the Cutscenes from Halo Wars. FREAKIN BEAUTIFUL.
Yeah, take Halo Wars for example. Cutscenes were way better than gameplay, because of animation. If you start Black Ops on the Wii (please don’t kill me for the cod reference), the opening sequence looks incredible because it’s animated, but the gameplay obviously is much lower quality.
They are cgi, meaning it is just a video, the campaign is actual in game cutscenes.

Part of it may be that the Campaign cut-scenes are stored on the actual disc, whereas the Spartan Ops ones are downloaded, weekly episodes. Therefore, the Sp OPs cutscenes are not limited by disc space (remember, the Sp Ops cut-scenes for season 1 alone end up being about an hour or so of footage all together).
They’re pre-rendered scenes. Rather than in game real-time generated scenes.

That’s not the reason at all.

Sorry, I meant the campaign could use game play graphics for that reason.
Anyway, it was just a thought, sorry.
CGI: The Crawler, the guy with Recon, -Yoink- to ship combat
In game graphics: Palmer, gameplay, spartans getting suited in armor

Palmer and the Spartans getting suited up were pre-rendered. The Crawler was in-game.

That crawler was not in-game…

I was just saying, no need to say sorry.
