This right here is some prime cut, grade-A, premium bull -Yoink-.
So this is how I understand it.
You take out well established content. i.e. firefight. Which was available whether you had gold/silver or S.F.A
Then you replace it with some, for the most part, half -Yoink- pseudo campaign. (I will admit it has its good parts)
But hey guys at least it’s free right? LOL pl0x free spratan orps rigt? u dun pay a cent! " free episodic co-operative series"
It’s not like you had payed for it in the fµcking retail price

Content that should be there anyway, suddenly disappears when your gold does? I can understand the need for xbox live in downloading these damn things in the first place, but are you -Yoinking!- kidding me?

No doubt when you talk with your friends you make a Blitzkrieg of using the word “fµck” and all the rest of it, but when it’s on a forum you suddenly find a sense of decorum?
Believe it or not 343i is a company, they are people, they need to make money as many people do they have bills to pay. I’m sure you would do the same in their position.

I agree with you! They also removed Campaign Commendations…in this way, when you go Silver, you can’t rank up! You can only play Campaign or Custom games…this is stupid!!! Even in Reach you could play something different from Campaign and get Credits!

I never thought about it that way, but yeah you’re right
they could just have bots
for custom mm and offline mm
they ppl who want to play humans go online and fight other humans
while people who have a bad connection or none at all or dont like campers/hackers
can play bots
that way everybodys happy
343i/MS get their money while they others get to play with real people and the rest can enjoy lag less games with bots 
There basically treating it like Mulitplayer. With Spartan OPs though, we are getting new or already played on enviornments that are different to some extent, along with a CG episode each week. It may not be firefight, but it seems to have alot more content going for it then firefight has had in the past.
Spartan OPs does however lack a playable offline mode, along with an arcade style scoring (campaign lacks this also) and a theater mode (campaign lacks this also as well).
Personally, I don’t think its BS that we have to have Xbox Live Gold to play Spartan OPs, there just treating it like multiplayer. I hope that in the future, along with multiple other issues with the game, that Spartan OPs gets attention.

I think micro transactions (going beyond halo…) and pay to play services are the unfortunate future of gaming.

I think micro transactions with optional monthly payments for more perks are. This is what most MMOs, Nintendo, and Sony are doing at this point and I’m ok with that. It’ll blow my mind if -Yoink!- sticks with its pay to play method with the next Xbox, it’ll hurt them if they do.

Frankie said along time ago, that you stream the Spartan Ops missions from Halo Waypoint, so that’s why it requires Xbox Live, as for Gold, I don’t why it requires gold, I can understand Spartan Ops Matchmaking requiring gold, But I cannot understand just playing normal Spartan Ops, requires Gold…
