Will SO have friendly ai ?
Hopefully, I love protecting the soldiers. (Unless the suck like they did in reach, in that case I like to kill them.)
Most likely. There might be other spartans that are canon to the story that will be in a few of the missions, but not others (solo sniping missions, for example).
Probably. One of the cutscenes from the “Infinity Gameplay” video showed a few normal troopers sitting around listening to a briefing along with a Spartan. Chances are there will be AI, but no friendly Spartan AI. For that, you’ll just have to play with other people.
Didn’t one of the achievements say to protect atleast 1 Marine through the entire chapter? Or something along those lines…

I think that was in campaign. Correct me if I’m wrong.
OT: I would guess there probably would be. Although you are a spartan team working on super elite missions, so maybe not.

I can’t seem to find the bulletin to check. 
EDIT: I just found the achievement, called “No One Left Behind”, it says “Saved at least one Marine in Chapter 3 of Episode 2 of Spartan Ops on Heroic or harder.”
