spartan ops 2...mini composer?

What happened to the doctor? Was he composed as his last digitalized scream seems to suggest? If so why was it so much less violent than the composing we witnessed in the events of new phoenix and installation 03?

Does the object not look suspiciously like a sarcophagus?

If it is then who is inside?

I am loving what I am seeing so far

Theory based on spoilers from the new book trilogy.

IF there’s someone/some thing inside then my guess would be the OTHER Didact

dun Dun DUN!!!

Inside is probably a mini Didact lol

Since it is a mini composer =P.

so was the composing of the doctor a way to make contact? Or harvesting to gain strength and knowledge?

Oh and yes

DUN DUN DUNNNNN

Whatever it is it runs Window 98 cause it took a Spartan Kicking it to make it do something useful (like not kill everyone)

oh you are soooooo funny

But I lol’d

I love the sense of weight they gave her btw

Imagine in Halo 5;
Didact: Behold the effect of this new Forerunner Artifact, it will make me unstoppable!
Didact shrinks to mini size

Didact: High voice Yes! I can feel the power, it has made me… shorter? SHORTER!?

I’m guessing it’s a Mini-Composer, for battlefield use by the original Forerunners, allowing them to use it on captured enemy in the field. Oh sure, the big Composer can do huge areas, but sometimes you need something small and portable.

Also who voices Hoya or however you spell his name? He sounds familiar…like the werewolf from underworld 1 and 3

assuming the mass reduction does not compromise energy output it COULD be an advantage…

JFDL I am sorry I could not finish with a straight face

Also who is the doctor referring to as a war criminal?

> Also who is the doctor referring to as a war criminal?

I think Doctor Halsey, but I’m not sure.

Halsey did not committ any war crimes did she? And it was all sanctioned by ONI anyway.

Also she did not retrieve the object herself which is what the doctor is saying right?

I smell Treachery!!!

lol uh?

Whether or not she DID commit war crimes, it certainly hasn’t stopped Admiral Parangosky (the head of ONI) from branding her a War Criminal to the rest of the world. While the Spartan-II program was sanctioned at the time, Parangosky now regrets backing it… but rather conveniently only really blames Halsey (it was HER program after all).

Also keep in mind that virtually NOTHING is know about the Spartan-II program by most inside ONI, let alone the rest of the USNC or general public. So all most people know about Dr. Halsey is that Naval Intelligence says she’s a War Criminal.

And yes, the quip about a War Criminal installing alien engines was about Halsey. After she and the other Onyx survivors were recovered from the Shield World at the end of Glasslands, she was taken into ONI custody and secretly sent to Infinity to assist with the assimilation of Forerunner tech into the ship.

While it hasn’t been canonically stated, I’m guessing that she was removed from Infinity and taken to another secret ONI facility at some point between the end of Thursday War and the events of Halo 4.

LE GASP…that YOINKER!

-Yoink!-…anyways now I am so curious about the advancing plot. Good job 343i this is how it is done (not like Galaxy at war which sucked intensely)
