Im trying to figure out how the Spartan Ops will be delivered o us in the spanning months when the game is released…Now I have some theories on how they will be delivered but this is where it worries me.
1.DLC[Downloadable Content]-If the Spartan Ops are going to be DLC im 50/50 with that.
Reason:Will there be Packs of Spartan Ops for around 1200msp, because if this is the case I would be very disappointed that they would charge for something like this.
2.DLC[Disc Locked Content]-This one im also 50/50 because there could be entire new layouts of areas we wouldn’t see in the campaign and it wouldn’t be unlocked until they decide to unlock it for us to play but it could also be that they will reuse stuff and that’s where it gets me, with reach I didn’t like the multiplayer maps because they were in campaign and it seemed to repetitive when playing.I don’t wan’t to be playing on recycled maps/areas changed up a fraction to make it seem new.
Now each one of these is a possible way they will be delivered but my question is, wich is the best method they should use.
*Note:None of anything I said above is official just my ideas for how they will do it.
I’m pretty sure they said they weren’t charging for Spartan Ops missions, free.
MP maps are being built from scratch, straight from the horses mouth. That’s why I’m excited, competitive maps with their own aesthetic, unlike Reach where maps like Boardwalk , Countdown etc are very recycled feeling and not very well thought out.
343 said that Spartan Ops was part of the package so if it is given weekly by Downloadable content it will be free. However I doubt it will be like that since those without internet connection will miss out.
Ya its all free but hoping not something that needs to be downloaded every week.
I wouldn’t play halo as often as i would like and have to wait for it to download each week!!!
My guess is “Season 1” of Spartan Ops is free with purchase of Halo 4 and will deliver cutscenes and five missions weekly over the course of “several” months, as 343 has stated. After that, I imagine there will be a hiatus and “Season 2” of Spartan Ops will be paid DLC.

It’s been stated just short of a million times that its free. You will probably have to download but come on people if you haven’t got internet then all you can do is play campaign and local so i don’t think Spartan Ops will concern you anyway. Who honestly doesn’t have internet available to them anyway?
They already said Spartan Ops was going to be free. And I doubt the missions are going to be DLC because they said you “unlock” them meaning its probably already on the disc, just waiting to be bought with Spartan Points.

This is what I believe also. I think this is a good way to go. It allows people to try Spartan Ops for a season at no extra cost and then if you like it the pay for continual upgrades.
My hard-drive hardly has any space these days, I would not like it if I would have to download these, so disc-locked is the best way, also the most probable IMO. Maybe they will release downloadable “keys” that would be free and will only take like 100KBs but would contain a required piece of coding to run the latest Spartan Ops missions?

Multiplayer maps were actually being recycled in the campaign instead of the other way around… Nonetheless Boardwalk was a terribad map.
