They are definitely gearing up towards flights. These tweets are mostly to remind people to sign up for Halo Insider and to keep people reminded about flighting until they actually get started. Can’t be too long away now, probably 2-3 weeks hopefully.

I’m kinda worried that these flights aren’t public. Hope thats a server test to be ready for open season and then launch. But really want people to hop in and test it en mass
What’s gonna suck is if I get an invite to the flight but my best buddy doesn’t. I know there’s gonna be multiple flights, but chances are we’re not both getting in the same one. We are both equally obsessive about Halo lol.
That sounds like flights must be just around the corner. Pretty exciting. Fingers crossed Infinite’s multiplayer doesn’t follow in the footsteps of Halo 5’s multiplayer.

They won’t be “public” public, e.g. there won’t be a button in the menus of H5 or the MCC
which will lead to the flight-build.
It’ll go through the insider programm, which everyone can join,
though not every member of the programm will get picked.

I know how the flight will work haha. I though I made that clear above but perhaps I should have added the more.
My point is the flight to me is a worry and I would have more confidence in 343i if they release an open beta shortly after. A public download found on the storefront like most betas, sllitgate being a recent example. Its F2P I want their launch to succeed and be able to take that day one beating. A large number of people won’t be aware or bothered to sign up for flights so those who do will likely be bigger fans and have stronger opinions. But an open beta is still a strong marketing device and a good stress test.
Similar to how other AAA have a private-ish beta that opens up for the last few days to stress test.
