Worst power weapon in the game? I can say by far it is the least important power weapon on any map it spawns on. It is hardly useful except for against vehicles.

The aiming reticle does not have a very distinguishable indicator on when the laser is going to shoot, you just have to get used to the timing. This is completely thrown off when using upgraded lasers in warzone (timing being so different). It wouldn’t be so hard to get used to if i could more easily see when the laser is going to shoot (both zoomed in and hip-fire).

The size of the laser itself is smaller than in other Halos, making it so if you are off even a hair you will miss a person or your vehicle. Maybe some think this is an improvement but i think it makes it much too difficult to kill spartans with the spartan laser.

Im working on weapon commendations and out of all the weapons, power weapons and regular, the spartan laser has to be the worst one to finish. not only is it hard to aim it seems much less powerful than previous halo games. i don’t think it should kill a scorpion 1 hit, but it should always kill vehicles like a normal banshee for instance. (I’ve shot many vehicles and most don’t die from one laser shot anymore). the spartan laser used to be a lethal gun that struck fear in the hearts of your enemies. now it is an afterthought that isn’t really too much of a threat.

this gun desperately needs a buff, who agrees? who disagrees?

Eh, the Splaser still fulfills it’s role as an anti-vehicle weapon. The only thing I notices is that it isn’t as useful against Spartans anymore because of the need to keep the (I think the somewhat elongated) laser on them. But that’s fair as it’s meant to be anti-vehicle.

My issue with the Laser is that it can clip geometry. There have been plenty of times where I am hiding behind cover and poke my head up only for the Laser to hit the rock in front of me instead of hitting what I’m aiming at.

Compared to previous Halo games, the Spartan Laser feels like it’s impossible to hit another player with (one who’s outside a vehicle). Give me the laser in any other game and I’ll obliterate people left and right, but try using it that way in Halo 5 and at best you’ll get their shields halfway down.

With the spartan abilities it is very difficult to hit a player that is running or using booster. I felt like an idiot trying to shoot a guy the other day.
