So I have been grinding really hard to get UNSC Weapon Mastery and get that sweet Spartan-IV emblem. Here’s my problem, I have completed all but spartan laser kills. Does anyone have any tips on how to use spartan lasers effectively?
One thing you can do is hide your beam until you’re close to firing it. That way people don’t see it being aimed at them until it’s too late. Also, since it takes awhile to charge and shoot, you can precharge it while moving around so it doesn’t take as long to fire when you do see something. If you don’t see anything, you can always reset it and start again.

Play either warzone or fiesta and keep a steady hand.

Go on WZ or WZA and use end game. It charges up faster. It’s like a railgun, but more powerful and more range
Just wait a couple weeks for WZ Turbo to be back again. So many tanks and banshees and wasps and mantis on the field it’s hard not to take out at least a couple with each laser. Stay inside your base and pop out to zap somebody.
Warzone, I recommend using Endgame since it’s the best laser Variant, has a quick time to charge & cool down is pretty quick, it helped me with the Splaser Commendation

Endgame is also great because it’s relatively easy to get infantry kills, as opposed to the regular laser which is mainly for vehicles.
As a side note, Selene’s Lance is the worst of the Splasers despite being the legendary variant. It has way too much recoil, so stick to the other two when possible.
Super Fiesta BTB. You start out with super weapons so you can rack up a lot more kills. WZ Turbo when available as previously mentioned.
yeah don’t use the first spartan is sucks, use any other besides that one. maybe im not good at using it but the charge rate is really bad.

I was the Laser God in Reach and I hid the beam before shooting. I can’t do this in Halo 5 because the Reach timer is still in my head but, the Halo 5 timer is a bit faster so I shoot to early. The different varients have me messed up too, because they shoot way faster. I would have the same problem with the railgun if you weren’t able to hold it. I am close to completing this comendation so my advice is to just do it. Yeah, not very helpful. Pull it out in Warzone and target vehicles.
Way back when the Triad emblem was bugged, it was thought it might be unlocked from the Spartan Laser mastery commendation.
I grinded for a long time to max it out but it didn’t unlock the emblem. It was just fixed randomly one day.
Not specifically a tip for getting kills, but I’ll say I played a lot of big team to get my kills. The standoff remake specifically, and I would wait for the enemy team to get 2-3 people in a warthog. Good luck!
This sounds bad but if most of the people just camp. Why you can’t camp too? No really… last matches i played was full only of campers and etc. i raged so hard xD
Fiesta. You’ll get an endgame enough times to make short work of the commendation.
