I have yet to find a use for this huge weapon in the game. Didnt the Spartan Laser use to take out tanks in previous Halo’s ? Its bulky and its hard to even get a kill with this thing. Anyone else find this weapon useless ?
Its good against AI and banshees.

well of course its primary function is to outright kill you if it hit, destroy vehicles, or just generally annoy users and those it hit’s or nearly hits 
but another function of it could be to use it as a blunt instrument to hit people with (if that option was available in game) or even if you could use it as a make shift bomb by putting a plasma grenade on and ditching it (or throwing, if it was possible in game lol)
I dont think it adds extra damage to melee. Does it work like the plasma pistol and disables vehicles ? I have tried for a week to take out tanks with it and well, you cant.

Now the laser is usefull for banshee, mangoose, ghost only.
no it doesn’t boost your melee, but it should, it weighs a ton and I’ve not been able to hit a thing with it, usually a banshee takes me out before it can fire 
as for tanks, I’ve no idea but you could try using a splinter grenade to stun it, then charge it up and try use evasive maneuvers to dodge the turret
It’s very powerful although getting off the shot without getting exposed is difficult . I’ve only hit vehicles , and this occasional Spartan who has her back turned . That’s right I shot someone in the back and I’ll do it again just like the old West.

That’s pretty much all I use it for.
I’ve taken tanks out with it. Just a direct hit to the driver seat.

Warthog, mongooses, ghosts, Banshees, and Gungoose all get one shot killed by it, Wraths and Scorpions are a two shot kill when they are full health, now tell me how that is useless?
It takes out all vehicles in one shot if I’m not mistaken. I could be wrong. Or at least all base vehicles, the more armored ones may take more. You just need to time the shot and travel distance. It’s a high risk/high reward weapon.
The Upgraded/Named(EndGame, Selene’s Lance) laser does the trick.
If you aim where the cockpit is on the tank you can outright kill the “tank”, and when I mean that I mean you kill the Spartan in it and now you have a free tank just sitting there…tho the tank is prob gonna blow up with the next rocket/laser/plasma/grenade that hits it haha
the lack of autoaim makes it pretty hard to use…
I like it, though it does feel slightly nerfed it is still very usable. The Incineration Cannon however…

Spartan Laser does crazy damage to vehicles, gets a tank to a burning state. It’s extremely effective against aerial vehicles and other vehicles in general though… and taking out bosses. The upgraded versions are a lot better. Also it’s pretty easy to take people out at midrange with it… Just a bit more difficult to use than a rail gun

The incineration is extremely effective when combating other spartans though or vehicles at a close range.
Works fine for me.
