Yea i agree the sound effects a bit weak. Loving the color scheme though.
It’s gone from it’s “BOOM!!!” sound in Halo 3 to a generic “Pew!” Still, it shreds through vehicles so I don’t mind.
Dat sound effect though. I think they recorded two 5 years old kids playing cow-boys, screaming “pew-pew”.

the pew downed 2/3 mantis so im not complaining. Still looks like it might be 2 shots to kill a mantis though. Not sure how i feel about the increasing redness before the shot while zoomed. Kinda asking for you to miss imo.
I’m so happy that one of my favorite weapons is here to stay!

I was surprised. I think it should have a sound effect closer to it’s original “WHOOSH” sound.
While I am thankful for the link provided, I’m disappointed that it still only fires four shots, and it now sounds ridiculously stupid when fired. Definitely gonna miss that BOOSH noise.

I think it’s good the laser has less shots than before, considering it is accessed in this case with requisition, meaning a lot of people can have it. Or correct me if I’m wrong.
I can definitely agree that the Spartan Laser sounds weak and underpowered now compared to the explosive release sound that the Spartan Laser in Halo 3 made.
Can’t say I care for the color scheme, looks more like a prototype than something that has been in service for most of the War. That said, still performed like a Laser so not much to be said about it.
I actually found the Suppressor gameplay to be more interesting. It seems to have the best mid range capabilities of all the ‘base’ auto weapons pretty much a complete 180 compared to the Halo 4 version. Tracking aside, it gave me some CE Plasma Rifle vibes in terms of its ranged capabilities. Low base spread that only heavily blooms when you really hold down the trigger. The AR, SMG, SR have all seemed really similar so far as close range/high spread automatics, but the Suppressor really seems to fill a more unique role.
Sounds more laserish, but weaker. It makes me think of the beam rifle sound in Halo 4.
