I have almost completed all of my weapon commendations, I just have a few left. One of which is the spartan laser’s and it is way behind the others. I just get kills with this weapon at a very slow rate. Does anyone out there have a particular strategy that has gotten them some good kills with this weapon? Or is everyone in the same boat as me where this is like the last commendation were going to get? I know not too long ago this gun was altogether terrible and overtly weak compared to previous games, but the update seems to have made things much better.
Ive been getting kills with it in Fiesta when its the versions that charge up fast. Sitting back in warzone or BTB with it can land you a kill or two.
Just dont aim it right at them untill its close to firing so they wont see the beam and dash away.
Try the fiesta playlist. It will do wonders for you commendation.
Finally finished that one. BTB is useful for Spartan Laser commendation, especially with the new buff it’s pretty good against vehicles.

Thats the thing with the Splazer, the railgun came in and usurped it in almost every way. Yeah, the splazer kills vehicles more, but theres so many other ways of doing that now anyway. +railgun is common req, splazer is rare.

i got all my kills with it do far on recurve and altar in btb. it sure isnt nearly as good as it was in every other game its been in. really disappointing cuz it was one of my favorites

Not to mention the Splazer is huge and takes up so much of the screen.
That’s my biggest issue with it and others like the fuel rod is how damn big they are.
This commendation is one that I find difficult. I will try to use endgame more often in warzone to try and finish it.
I’ve completed this commendation and I wont lie it was a major pain in the butt. I got lucky with fiesta slayer that was out a few months back, i just stayed up and played fiesta till i finished my laser kills. Got some good kills with it on warzone as well, specially warzone assault when you have to defend the core from the enemy team. Grab a laser gun and wait around the back of the home base. You can pick off upcoming tanks and wraiths.
Also super fiesta just came out, it’ll possibly spawn you with one of the more upper class spartan lasers like end game or selens lance, which is pretty easy to use and get kills with. Unlike the regular spartan laser. I hope you get that commendation and everyone else who doesn’t have it. Cause it was an ignorance for me to get, i dont know about other people. Maybe their more skilled with it and got it in the first week lol

This is a pretty douchey way, but it works very well. I was able to get ~15 splaser kills in one game doing it.
On The Battle of Noctus map in warzone, spawn an endgame at the home base and stand behind the barrier until you see a vehicle or spartan on the ground. Pop out to shoot and then get back behind the barrier. It works even better when the enemy team has taken over the garage that is in clear view from your home base as there will often be vehicles spawning there and spartans sniping from the roof.
Use it on war zone, I did my commendation destroying only vehicles
It was my last commendation because I would never want to use it. Once you start picking it up when possible it goes faster. Also try fiesta if you want some splaser kills. If you get a variant of the Spartan laser you will get plenty of kills. Use your lasers in warzone if you have any left and try killing vehicles with it and not Spartans. Also many BTB maps have a Spartan laser on it and it’s easy to grab because no one else seems to want it. Haha. Good luck and keep grinding. You will get there. I need the warden kills personally.
If you don’t have a lot of splaser reqs, I recommend playing btb and always trying to grab the laser. It respawns pretty quickly also. It’s a lot harder to get splaser kills on infantry than in previous titles, but in order to max out the comm. you should still try it and not only wait for vehicles to show up.
BTB grinding is probably the best way to do it TBH.
Lots of maps have it thankfully. Aim for stuff like Warthogs, which are hard to miss even when moving fast.

OP, play some Super Fiesta. I get about 2-3 Splasers a match, usually a Selene’s Lance or Endgame. Selene’s Lance’s laser targeter damages, and the actual laser lasts SUUUUUUPER long. I just wiggled it a bit and got a double kill, almost a triple. Just like Endgame, it charges super quick as well.
I did mine in warzone assault. Defending its great because the attacker usually spawn their wraiths and tanks and you can easily take one out after putting a few rounds into it with a dmr.
