I just want to let this idea out into the open. Considering what Jerome and his fireteam did in Halo Wars 2, I think it would be cool if Jerome or his team made an appearance in the next Halo. I don’t know how, or why he might, but the thought is cool to me.

I don’t know the games lore like I used to. The first trilogy I could answer anything, now I’m a bit out f the loop with all the new story.
However it seems the idea of what’s happened is that at the end of halo wars 2 the giant guardian is seen by Anders on the halo ring. At the end of halo 5 you see a halo ring? I haven’t seen that clip yet.
So it seems the games are coming together in a way. Although it doesn’t seem the brutes are done on the ark so maybe the spirit of fire isn’t either.
Tl:dr The games are becoming connected in a way, and wouldn’t be surprised to see red team (or the spirit of fire) unite with the infinity.

Atriox seems to be becoming a lethal character in the Halo story, and I would find it very interesting to see them connect.
And about your spoilers…
There was a halo ring shown at the Halo 5 legendary ending, and that ring could be the same ring that Anders was on and stopped by the guardian in the HW2 legendary ending. It would be fun to see these two stories unite.
I would lose myself if Red Team appeared in Halo 6 to reunite with Blue Team. And now that Gray Team is still alive somewhere, there is a bit of hope for them as well.

Seeing the legendary SPARTAN-II program reunite would seem fairly interesting. I would particularly nerd out about this if it happened.

Then again, Anders is the only link between Infinity and Red Team/Spirit of Fire. If she dies, the latter will be stranded in space again…

That’s one half of the solution if Isabel has the proper coordinates, but the ship still needs a slipspace drive to get home. How will they get / make a new one is beyond me.
