I don’t have time to post what I think but I was wandering what the communities opinion is about Spartan IVs
Spartan IVs, What do you think about them? and where do you think the Halo story go with them in exc
Next generation Spartans.
Compared to the older models, I actually like the notion of the new Spartans being a mix of experience from a given time frame realm, but under a single program.
All the experience and all of the knowledge for the remaining Human-Covenant War being brought in and placing that to the test of the newer members like ODST’s…
To be honest, its what I’ve felt the entire time I’ve been in the gaming community known as Halo. From CE LAN’s to now, I’ve always had the inner calling it was experience versus new. If new could match the skill level of old, then it just goes to show progress has been made, but when old has kept itself up and running at the top, it only adds to the experience of the community.
Fact is, if you asked me, that is what the S-IV who are former II’s and III’s could be feeling. Experience versus new, but a single community as a whole.
Spartan IV’s came after the Mark III Spartans developed on the planet Onyx.
The III’s were all wiped out, largely due to their SPI armor which wasn’t as good as standard Spartan II armor, the SPI didn’t carry shielding.
The Spartan IV’s were developed to replace the III’s and work alongside the remaining Spartan II’s, and also to serve on the UNSC Infinity to explore and capture the remaining Halo installations and Forerunner worlds like Requiem.
The Spartan III’s were developed under an ‘accelerated’ program which was way different to the II’s and IV’s, which used Dr. Halsey’s method.
The II’s and IV’s were by far the best…but I still personally prefer the II’s, although fighting alongside more Spartans in the battlefield rather than marines feels more comforting, and certainly proves more effective.
The final verdict for me: The Spartan IV program was a complete success, who know’s what the UNSC has cooked up for the V’s…if there were to be V’s that is.
