So if I’m correct, the Spartan IVs are not as strong as Spartan IIs but are stronger than Spartan IIIs and there are more Spartan IVs then Spartan IIIs. So that means someone was able to (not quite, but almost) replicate and perfect the Spartan IIs augmentation process and have a much greater out come than the Spartan IIIs ion process. Is that correct or am I missing something?
We don’t know about the IVs augmentations, so it is hard to judge.

Actually IIs and IIIs should be stronger smarter faster ect. than the IVs as the IIIs and the IIs were trained since they were kids and the augmentations they were given made then bigger and all stated before.
those augmentations were dangerous some IIs died because of them or turned deformed.
Ivs were adults when they got the augmentations(If they did not really sure if they just have an armour) and the previous spartans got the augmentations at the age of 15 I think so their body was not fully grown.
The only thing we know for sure is that Spartan-IIs were hand picked by Halsey due to having certain genetic traits that would take full advantage of the augmentations, and since they were augmented at a younger age and trained since childhood, we can only assume that it made the Spartan-IIs stronger.
However, like Cobra said, we know nothing about the Spartan-IVs augmentations, so in the end it’s hard to tell if they’re improved over the ones used by the Spartan-IIIs, which were improved (i.e. safer) versions of the Spartan-II’s.

IIIs were children too if I remember well they were orphans, they had needed genetic traits too but this time they were not kidnapped.
Besides, I’ve sure most of the IIIs are IVs now.

They were children, yes, but they weren’t picked due to their genetic traits, at least not nearly as severely as the IIs. Rather, they were taken mostly because they had a desire for revenge against the Covenant, who made them all orphans.

Yep probably the IIs and IIIs that are alive are IV now probably by Halo 5 Masterchief will be an IV, still they will be better than the normal IVs

True, but some of the remaining IIs and III were conscripted into the IV program.

Genes did still play a factor, but they were expanded slightly for a larger gene pool. That said I believe it was Margaret Parangosky who suggested that the pool be expanded even more, but it was shot down.
They have augmentations.

So in other words, Spartan IVs are like Spartan I.0. If only Johnson were alive, we would be able to see him suited up in some power armor.
spartan 3s were not augmented they were volunteer children

Wait, the IV’s augmentations are the same or similar to the I’s? If that’s right then they may have an immunity to the Flood.
> spartan 3s were not augmented they were volunteer children
Yes, they were orphans who were given the chance to strike back at the aliens that ravaged their planet and family.
They were, however, augmented.

Oh, no, the augmentations are more than likely based off, and improved off of the S-III augmentations, he is just referring to the fact that the original Spartan project was only accepting adult volunteers.
I think IV are a cheap copy of Is…
Johnson… </3
The Spartan IVs should have the same augmentation as the IIIs minus the stimulant that makes them fight beyond their mental capability.

just so I know…was that added by the reach story?
Why is the gameplay for the Spartan IV’s and the Chief the same if they’re different generations?
Nope, Read Ghost of onyx.
