Also, you now play as Spartan IVs, non-augmented soldiers who have volunteered for service; unlike Master Chief, a Spartan II, who was genetically altered to be a super soldier. While the Spartan IV’s don’t have the genetic boost that Chief does, they are still formidable soldiers. So when players assume the role of them in multiplayer, expect it to feel almost identical to the way Master Chief feels in single-player.
Spartan IVs will be in multiplayer, seems interesting. BUT, they are NOT augmented soilders. MEANING, they can’t jump as high or move as fast as Spartan 2’s.
I am a little worried about this. As in it might be really fun to be a spartan 2 in campiagn but in MM you will play VERY different becuase you (may) not be as good as the chief.
I am optimistic for Halo 4 but I am not sure for having 2 different generations of spartans in 1 game.
What do you think?
Well would you be pissed if you are shooting at someone for 5 mins only for him to jump 50 ft and kill you?
it’s for fair games
but that said you have a point
If they nerf speed, jump etc for canon reason in MP this game and the franchise is done.
Halo cannot afford another reach. Competition is too fierce.
How do you know they’re not augumented?
> Well would you be pissed if you are shooting at someone for 5 mins only for him to jump 50 ft and kill you?
First off spartans don’t jump 50feet.
Secondly, high jump heights are part of halo becuase you ARE a AUGMENTED SUPER SOILDER.
So you get to play as chief who is augmented in campaign but in MM you are essentually not a full spartan. You probably can’t jmp as high nor move as fast, becuase you are not augmented.
Also, I would of liked to be a spartan 2.
> How do you know they’re not augumented?
It was in one of the news releases, but I think they’re mistaken on that front.
However, I don’t have Glasslands with me to double check if they received augmentation but I’d imagine they would have

You see, that’s the problem. There isn’t that many Spartan-II’s.
> How do you know they’re not augumented?
They said so in the trailer and in a G4 interview. The ENTIRE point of being a spartan is being a augmented super soilder. I am concerned as Spartan 4’s lack augmentation.
Also, it should be IMPOSSIBLE for a human to wear Spartan armor without augmentation.

Multiplayer =/= canon
I think if you play as the chief in campaign, it should be the SAME sheilds, jumping, and running as in multiplayer.
Speed and jumping height is good. Don’t worry.
> Speed and jumping height is good. Don’t worry.
You have played Halo 4 multiplayer and campaign and it is the same controls, jump height, etc?
If you didn’t, how do you know?
Augmentations are there to make spartans faster and stronger.
