what the heck why are we playing as SPARTAN-IV in Multiplayer mode???..they seem like they play like master chief or aleast i hope theres a differences??? and dose anyone know if SPARTAN-IV are like SPARTAN-II??? like they have super human strength and super human speed, high jump height like SPARTAN-II.
only info so far is in glasslands and it isnt much. really the most that is said is that they are not trained from childhood.
Take it as a soft reboot in all Halo Franchise, new spartans model for MP, same old Master Chief for single player just to drag fans to this Halo
And the S-IV are selected soldiers chosen to be spartans like the S-I proyect
can we agree that they looked freakin awesome though
The best things in life are in 2’s. Spartan IV’s are twice as good at II’s. I would put my money on 4 aces over 2.

Sorry but the S II’s are still the best in my opinion.
Though, im hoping the S IV’s include Buck… that might tie things over for me.
Read Glasslands to find out. Or check Halopedia.
Most of the background information that no one ever hears about is found on that website or in the books.

I think this is a new method of introducing new characters. Let’s face it. Chief can’t be around forever right. He’s already what, 37ish.
well guys im just hopeing master chief will play like a Spartan II you know? like how he played in halo 2, halo 3 and hope we can learn more about Spartan IV. cuz i look up on the wiki and they have nothing on them. Also one last thing dose anyone know if we will sporting mark 6 or something new???
It seems like the Spartan IVs will be a range of different skill levels. They are recruited from adults not children so they generally will not be as good as the Spartan IIs. This being said one of the Halo wikipedias mentioned that they invited surviving Spartan IIs and I would assume Spartan IIIs to become Spartan IVs. In terms of how they play, they should be almost exactly like Spartan IIs a.k.a. Master Chief in Halo 1-3. The reason for this is that Master Chief is the protagonist in the campaign and he is a Spartan II wearing his usual Mark VI armor from Halo 2 and 3 (but with a few graphical changes as shown in the trailer). If the multiplayer Spartan IVs were to play any differently from Master Chief then it would be like playing two different games, which i’m sure 343 will not do. This means they will be better than the Spartan IIIs from Halo Reach. In terms of armor I would imagine its Mark VII for the Spartan IVs, but will be exactly the same as the Mark VI (for reasons mentioned earlier) except for the looks. Another possibility for armor may be modified Mark VI like the armor customizations in Halo 3 (default Halo 4 armor looks kinda like Scout or Rouge). However this is unlikely due to all of the changes from the normal Mark IV as you can see in the RvB video. If they were to change the armor so much it would make more sense to completely start over.
In summary:
• Mark IVs are adult recruits including previous Spartans
• Armor will be Mark VI for campaign and possibly Mark VII or modified Mark VI for MP
• Spartans should handle like Master Chief in both campaign and multiplayer
