I created a height scale for several characters from the Halo universe, mostly so I could see how gigantic Master Chief is next to a person who stands 5’9", the average height for the adult male. I researched and gathered some numbers from some of the lore and wiki’s and these heights seem to be the most agreed upon. The heights of MC, Jorge, Carter, Buck, and a random civilian are as is, with clothing/ armor. SEE MY HEIGHT SCALE!
This got me thinking about the height of the characters we play in Halo IV multiplayer… how tall will they be? We know that 343 will be beefing up the running speed and jump height in this next game, but for the sake of canon, will that be due to the ‘lightweight’ armor they will be touting? Or will these spartans be larger and more robust than say Carter’s generation of Spartan III’s? Let’s discuss!

There is no diff between talking about halo or talking about the NFL. Except we are not talking about guys in spandex who feel each other up
I really hope they are the same height as John and the rest of the Spartan 2s, it would be so much better for fighting against bigger foes like the elites and brutes, that’s why Spartans 2’s are barely afraid of anything, they tower over most adversaries. They look like it too, their body proportions look like that of a skinny 5,6 human or a 7’6 Spartan, who is very well muscled for their height, man I really hope that is the case.
I doubt spartan 1Vs will be very tall. After all, theyre volunteered UNSC soldiers.
Most UNSC soldiers would be buck’s height there about.
I doubt augmentation would make them taller.

Jorge and Samuel were 1 foot taller than the rest of their peers, chief and the rest were all around the height of chief in the scale, it’s really accurate, I just hope Spartan 4s are the height that Jorge is in the scale, or chief.
Jorge only apeared really tall in comparision to the s-III Spartans, but I like the looks of things, and as far as I can tell the S-IV’s are really souped up battle hardened veteran soldiers from a similar project that Avery Johnson came from and if memory serves he didn’t look terribly short next to the chief so I could see the S-IV’s being at or around chiefs height

The augmentation is meant to make them that tall, it wouldn’t make sense if they were the height of an ODST, it would make sense for the augmentation to make them reach heights of 7 foot to 7ft 6, the drugs have been greatly enhanced since Halsey first developed them back in the time when the UNSC was still fighting insurrectionists, which is almost 30 years before the end of the war.

There’s that, and then the fact that they are the head on ONI’s pet project so you can only imagine the backing, forerunner tech, and skunk works style stuff that has gone into the DEVELOPEMENT of such a project. Not to mention the combined information gleaned from the various projects arcing from ORION all the way through the S-III. I honestly think they the IV’s will be the pinnacle of what a soldier can be, real battle tested experience meets the height of techno-biological advancement and so on.

Exactly, people think the Spartan 4 project is like the 3, which was created in desperation to push back the covenant, in this case ONI has time and serious tech & money on their hands and would make sure that these new soldiers would surpass the enemy in all areas of combat, especially physically and technologically.

It never really hit me how tall Chief was until the first time I saw the opening Cut scene to Halo 3. I remember thinking, then Chief stood up next to Johnson, “Wow. Chief’s been eating his pork pies.”
I generally thought that Spartan IVs would be the same size if not smaller than the spartan III’s
just because spartan IV’s are consenting adults so they wouldn’t undergo any major physical changes thought I would put the spoiler in case anyone was reading Glasslands
