SPARTAN IV program sounds interesting

I want to find out more about spartan IV like a profile of one showing an image of him/her in what ever gear the IV,s use
also describing a bit of information about them and also where were they made?

Some of you think S IV,s suck even though you have never seen one but I think they could become my favorite type of halo characters.

Also some S IV,s were on the ship UNSC infinity a ship that will be in halo 4

SPOILERS

The Spartan IVs are midget sized warriors, Even harder to hit!

No, just kidding. They are supposed to be volunteers rather than children, so they will be close to human size (slightly taller, like the threes) Some of them will be actual threes. (since some still are alive)

They might be trained by remaining twos. According to Admiral Parangosky.

Also they might end up wearing the new mjolnir mk VII (seventh gen) if they make them in a “size four”. (not kidding)

As far as weaponry, the humans have started to assimilate forerunner tech.

not possible the MJOLNIR armor was specifically designed for S-II use. un-augmented bodies cant support it. remember, its 1 ton.

Not true, we don’t know what kind of new augmentations ONI may have cooked up.

remember. S-IV is using adult volunteers. and it was previously stated that adult bodies cant handle augmentations. thats the WHOLE REASON they abducted the children.

I have always wondered why they abducted children my reasoning for that was that they could easily mold the Spartans into who they needed to be since thier beliefs and ideals are still in the molding stage…

I kind of figured it was to get an extra couple years of training, on top of the brainwashing to fulfill their command.

They can always improve it and make it work, also the new armor might be lighter.

Children were necessary for the chemical stuff and the brainwashing. It was the best choice to create the greatest effect (given what the Master Chief is capable of and has done; second highest UNSC estimable kill count).

I’m going to guess that Spartan IVs are as capable as the Spartan IIs and IIIs (and yeah, IIs and IIIs were equally capable; there’s been a weird spread of misinformation because the SIIIs in Ghosts of Onyx are all still relatively small and inexperienced). It’ll probably be through some miraculous advancements in the augmentation system. And likely, this is a device as much for 343 Industries’ benefit as for the story’s. They’re running out of spartans to make protagonists out of. And imagine a world where we didn’t play as a super soldier in the Halo universe (sarcasm). Anyway, they’ll probably be equally fit because that means they’re equally capable and the spartan experience can be repeated.

I like this guy.

well, actually it is lighter, but we dont know HOW lighter. plus, the MJOLNIR accelerates the users motions. the last non-Spartan to use MJOLNIR got his arm ripped off, i believe.

Oh yeah, because you’ve got to love it when Spartans start getting the clone trooper treatment!

Seriously, I wasn’t sure whether to laugh or cry when I read this bit in Glasslands, it’s like a horribly written fan fiction with some of the decisions made about the story.

I want to hear more about this SIV formula first.

I foresee many ONI operatives and even some UNSC brass getting the SIV treatment.
They will be hard to hide with their altered mood, walk, heck talk.
Other SIVs will almost immediately pick up on the others. Contact lenses will only help so much to conceal those upgraded eyes from the different gaze of a homosapien’s.
Other SIVs will notice all the little things. I shiver at the thought of an ONI spook with Spartan like thinking and sensory input.

We shall see the rise of the unauthorized enhancement exterminators. A new breed of Headhunters.
Oh the blood-shed shall be immense.

As for the SIVs themselves, the official ones, soldiers like Buck and the Rookie are more than likely those chosen to volunteer.
Which means, they can give us more Nathan Fillion and mostly silent type as Spartans. I think Kelly and the Rook would get along quite well.
No seriously I do. With him around and them both doing their Spartan-thang, heat would build between them.
He’s not chemically castrated and her being an enhanced human would eventually evolve past the suppression and he’d be the perfect catalyst.
Almost Gambit and Rogue like, minus the whole “I’ll suck the life out of you. No really.” gigady.

READ THE BOOKS no human can use mjonlir or spi armour only augumented humans ( SOARTANS ) use them !

SPI can be worn by normals, correct on the MJOLNIR.

re-jog my memory what is SIV again…?

I’m not sure about this Spartan-IV program, sounds a little dangerous, like packing a ton of Forerunner tech into one ship. What happens if a bunch of S-IVs decide to join the Innies, who, it appears, are starting to become even more dangerous than before the human-Covenant War.

The Infinity also doesn’t sound like a good idea. Packing a heap of technology into only one ship doesn’t sound particularly bright.

Then again, part of me really wants to see both these programs blow up in ONI’s face.

How humanity managed to get the resources to start these two projects only months after the Human-Covenant war concluded is beyond me. Humanity have only had access to small pockets of Forerunner artefacts, and every time they appear the get blown up.

Not looking forward to seeing the UNSC Mary Sue inevitably appear in Halo 4…

> READ THE BOOKS no human can use mjonlir or spi armour only augumented humans ( SOARTANS ) use them !

excuse my naivite, but whats a SOARTAN? i havent heard of this yet.

A Spartan-IV would have several disadvantages compared with a II or III;

  1. Less combat experience
  2. Less experience with Mjolnir and augmentations
  3. Less (brainwashed) dedication

That said they would/could have advantages;

  1. Better equipment
  2. (Presumably) better augmentations

As for surviving S-IIIs becoming S-IVs… impossible. S-IIIs would certainly be able to join the regiments of S-IVs and would be invaluable in teaching the IVs how to control and use their new abilities. But just as Jorge joined Noble Team and still remained a S-II the same would apply to the S-IIIs.

An S-III if subjected to additional S-IV augmentations would become something else entirely.
