So who do you guys think will some of the Spartan IV’s? Or who do you want? My guess is Buck will be one. Also, I wish 343GS wouldn’t have been a party pooper and killed Sgt. Johnson in Halo 3. You know awesome it would have been in the game for a Spartan IV to come up to Chief in the game, take his helmet off, and it be Johnson? That would be awesome.

Also I thought Buck died in Halo 3 ? His voice was used and Johnson calls him gunny.
No, somebody correct me if I am wrong, but Buck is still alive. And to the post that said it is unlikely that he would be a Spartan IV, I believe otherwise. Spartan IV’s are mainly soldiers already in the military, ODST’s included.

Actually, it’s the exact opposite of unlikely. The Spartan IV program doesn’t train Spartans from childhood like previous programs, but instead recruits surviving Spartan III’s and skilled non-Spartan military personnel to join the program.
And after all, “if he were any better, he’d be a Spartan”.
i would like to see the squad from odst as spartan 4s and mabey jun from reach
Jun would be cool, but I would think that unless upgrading to a Spartan IV would provide a unique advantage, just staying a Spartan III would be perfectly fine. It would also provide some variety to the story. I think it would be awesome if somewhere down the road (probably wouldn’t happen in Halo 4), we got to fight along with three types of spartans. The new Spartan IV’s, the remaining Spartan III’s, and the remaining Spartan II’s. And then, Sgt. Johnson could come back from the dead and represent the Spartan I program. Epicness indeed!
Besides the obvious choice of the ODST Squad from, well, ODST, I can’t really think of many others…
Though I will say that I don’t really want see may Spartan IV’s that look the same…
Though they could go the route of having Spartan IV’s that were ODST’s wear their respective Spartan IV ODST Armour, and have Spartan IV’s that were once Marines wear their respective Spartan IV Military Police Armour…assuming it even exists…
You could also apply the previous logic to anyone of the Spartan IV’s Specialisations, seeing as the System is in place for Multiplayer, you would assume that the System would be in place for all Spartan IV’s in the Campaign…

That would actually be a good idea, that they would wear their previous military specialist designed armour when they become spartan IV’s
ODST’s would wear ODST or Recon armour
Spartan II’s (if they would join (most likely just upgrade their armour)) would wear MK V, VI or their respective specialist armour
Spartan III’s would wear their respective armour that they would have worn.
And any other military non-specialsts would either wear the default Mk VII armour, or any armour that they would choose/earn through their specialist in a particular area.
I hope Corporal Harland from The Fall of Reach gets to be a Spartan-IV. He survived a harrowing encounter with the Covenant on Sigma Octanus and even asked Chief is he could join the Spartans, but Chief didn’t give him a straight answer, saying you have to be selected. Well…
I don’t want Buck or his squad being spartan IVs.
It would ruin their bad -Yoink- non upgrade needing ODSTness.
I think the ODST squad from ODST might have become Spartan-IVs.
