Spartan II's vs Spartan IV's (OPS SPOILERS)

Well Spartan Ops finished on a surprising note with Catherine still in the Covenants hands and now vowing revenge. However, I’ve been playing around with an idea recently. The Spartan II’s have obviously shown that they see Catherine as their mother (an example being that in Halo: Reach, Jorge refers to Catherine as “mother”), and according to Halo Lore, Master Chief isn’t the only Spartan II alive. My point is, now that the UNSC has ordered that Catherine be killed, I’m wondering what the Master Chief and the other Spartan II’s are going to do. Are they going to try to rescue Catherine and essentially become her bodyguards; protecting her from both the Storm Covenant and the UNSC even if it means they have to fight the Spartan IV’s in the process?

Granted, I might be thinking too much on this but I still find the idea of a conflict arising among the Spartans themselves being pretty amusing to say the least. What do you guys think?

In no doubt do the SII’s think Halsey as a mother figure, at least the closest one they have.

But referring to in Reach when Jorge says to Halsey “Mum” it’s just the British way of saying “Ma’m”. So no he wasn’t directly calling her MOM.

Don’t you think that would be a bit awkward for a man in suit of armor to be calling anyone mom?

Master Chief thinks things through and would have tried to save Halsey first and shot her if he felt the need to, not likely he would feel the need to do so.

Spartan IVs don’t think things through, well at least Palmer doesn’t actually perhaps every S-IV other than Crimson team and Thorne and revered, mum is the British way of saying mom. He said ma’am, his accent made it sound like he said mum.

Yeah, the Mom thing was a mistake on my part. They way he says it sounds like “mum” but the subtitles show it to be Ma’am.

Honestly, Master Chief seems to be moving in a direction where he’s not longer just a grunt that takes orders. He’s making his own decisions whether it goes with or against orders as long as benefits mankind in general. Also, I don’t think he would be willing to pull the trigger against Catherine simply because he feels too close to her (This is just speculation though)
