We all appreciate the hard work Bungie and now 343 Industries have put into the wonderful universe of Halo. I know that I speak for a lot of fans when I say that I have been captivated by the fascinating and immersive world of the Halo games. However, the games are only a small part of what many fans see as Halo. Throughout the novels, comic books, and even films such as Forward Unto Dawn give us a glimpse of the Halo universe through the story of the Spartan IIs, and I am sure that I’m not the only fan who has become invested in the story of these characters. With the new saga of Halo 4, 5, and 6, an appearance by the remaining Spartans would bring a lot of depth into the games. Karen Traviss’s novels have given possible clues to the fate of Spartans Fred-104, Kelly-87, and Linda-58, and unless something tragic has happened during the 3 years before the events of Halo 4 there is no reason to believe that they aren’t still alive. Although the story of Halo is in the capable hands of 343, input by the fans is essential to prevent controversial endings (Mass Effect 3, anybody?). With the new Halo games focusing on Master Chief’s humanity, it seems natural that he should be reunited with his friends after he has fought for so long not knowing that they are alive, while for the others, the Chief is MIA, and they still have hope that he is alive. Although I don’t know if 343 plans to end Master Chief’s role as a soldier on the front lines for Halo 5, but any appearance of the Spartans with Master Chief (even in a single cutscene) would be appreciated. It seems pointlessl to have these characters in the Halo universe that have so many fans, just to have them never make an appearance in one of the games! I recognize that many people like to think of the Chief as a “lone wolf,” he has been part of a team for most of his life, and even in the games he has Cortana as a companion. If you agree or disagree with my opinion, please post to let 343 know what you-the fans-would like to see.
Yes lets include something incredibly integral to the novels into the games. This clearly worked well with Reach and introducing blue team visually will no doubt meet everybody’s expectations and would be handled perfectly.

Alright Mr. Narrow Mind, how do you propose introducing Blue Team could work? The Didact was integral to the novels and he was introduced just fine, given you follow the story-line pretty well. What part of Reach was confusing? And as far as expectations go, what in the hell do you expect?
I think 343 will find a creative way to introduce blue team into a game . So if they also keep the characteristics of blue team and the way they act then I would love to see them in the next installement of halo .

The didact in halo 4 was a mess, and he was integral to novels that were written for the exact purpose of writing backstory for halo 4+.
We didn’t even know what a forerunner looked like before halo 4 so the visuals couldn’t have been messed up. Not to mention everything we knew about the Didact was from bornstellars eyes so the character “misrepresentation” could be sided off as that.
We have 10 years of knowledge backing Blue team,we know what they look like and how they act. FuD was goo but even then it messed up because the helmets weren’t all the same but at this point i guess that is a stupid retcon.
The Spartans Two act a little friendlier than Emile but all in all we would be getting something very similar if we are to have them in a game.
I have officially changed the thread title, I apologize for the “petition” part. It didn’t occur to me what that sounds like until I saw snickerdoodle’s post. Thanks so much for your interest in this thread!
P.S. If you want to chat on Xbox live, just send me a friend request to my gamertag, Kevin5190.
Yeahhh!! i want the blue team to come back in Halo 5, and know what happened to they (I’m just reading ghost of onyx, so please, dont give me spoilers xD )
Ever notice how 117 didnt even have a WTF moment when he was in the company of other Spartans during the cutscenes of Halo 4? The fact he didnt even inquire about Blue Team or get any info about who the hell these Spartans were. hmmmmmmm
Introducing Blue Team would be awesome. Not only for story purposes but for co-op as well. We would no longer have three other copies of John running around the area but instead have a co-op that makes sense and lets the other players feel like they have an actual role in the game. I’m not sure if it was on purpose or simply coincidental, but there are three other members of Blue Team and co-op can be up to four players total.
Oh, gosh, please please please pleaaaaase bring Blue Team into Halo 5.
Like others have mentioned, it’d be perfect for co-op because there’s four of them. Plus, from a story perspective, I think it would really help John out being with his old team.
I have been waiting to see the rest of Blue team in-game since Bungie dissapoinigly left them completely out of Reach. I almost expected to see them in Halo 4 when Fred and Kelly showed up in FUD.
Halo 5 seems like the best time to bring in Fred, Kelly, and Linda. With Cortana gone, John has no one to turn to, enter Blue team. Coop would make sense, and light (and I emphasize LIGHT) squad mechanics could be added to the game.
I support this 100%! What better way to continue to develop the “Chief’s humanity” storyline than to bring in Blue Team, the only people he truly considers his family? Also Kelly-087, Fred-104, and Linda-058 are great characters in their own rights and could bring so much to both the campaign’s story AND co-op mode.
We did get an easter-egg mention for each of them in Halo 4, which shows they haven’t been totally forgotten by the devs. So hopefully if we keep asking for them 343 will be motivated to finally give them their much deserved in-game debut.
