Halo has so many amazing character’s in it. My favorite are Spartan Blue team from the Halo books. If they where in Halo 5 It would be one of the most amazing Halo campaign’s ever. Here is a video of evidence that they will be in Halo 5.
Even if Blue team was not in Halo 5 it would be amazing to see any of the remaining Spartan II’s in the campaign or at lest Spartan ops. There are many Spartan II’s still alive as can be seen here along with every II’s status.

Would you love to see Blue team or any other Spartan II’s in Halo 5? Or would you rather chief stay solo? Leave your opinions below.
It would certainly add more “connection points” to the series as well as bridging the gap of nobody understanding the super soldier. Wouldn’t mind if they added the surviving Spartan 3’s would be nice. Overall it would be nice to implement with the right voice actors etc etc.
With Republic Commandos creative director now working at 343 Industries, there is now an excuse to bring Blue Team to Halo games.

I dont get it?
Star Wars; Republic Commando had very, very engaging squad-based gameplay. So, that’s why having the CD from the SW;RC team would help 343i when they want that.
The family aspect of the spartan II soldier group is something that could be very important to the development of John as a character.
Moral Dictata brought it to the forefront with Naomi’s encountering her father and learning about her family. Not just her, but all surviving Spartan IIs are now being confronted with wondering who they are, which seemed clear in the face of an alien juggernaut. Being faced with not just the opportunity to see who they were in the short time before being inducted (or abducted) into the spartan program, but simply the existence of a little downtime without a looming danger to distract them from their own humanity.
John himself is faced with this in the end of halo 4. It’s as if the sole purpose of the entirety if halo 4 was to deal John a loss not dissimilar from what he’s experienced before, but wholly different at the same time. While Cortana was a pivotal part of johns life, not unlike Sam or any other spartan II (keep in mind he has the loss of the Spartans under his command, his brothers and sisters as well), but she was so unlike him, much more human and relatable on many levels, presented to him the question of his own humanity in the absence of the one thing that gave him a normal, very human interaction.)
> Team Red !!!
At this point I would love to se any Spartan II’s
I would love to see Blue Team as your co-op partners. During Single player, they’d accompany you on missions, and perhaps you could even order them around a bit. During Co-Op, they’d be controlled by a player, not unlike the Arbiter in Halo 3. Perhaps the single player squad mechanics could, in co-op, be used to point out objectives or enemies to teammates.

Basically, there’s a solid chance of then coming in 5.
Like I said in other threads I could see the core of blue team working with John in H5 as he has lost Cortana and needs that area filled in game so Fred, Kelly, Linda, and John would be a squad in H5 giving us both a gameplay, story, and MP reason for there being 4 Spartans running around blowing stuff up. I think Red team may play a role as well as Escalation is bridging the gap between H4 and H5 and if SoF will return in Issue 5 and red survives the comic I can see them showing up in H5. My only problem is what does 343i do with Ash, Tom, Lucy, Mark, and Olivia the Spartan IIIs that are part of Blue team I wouldn’t mind them in H5 either.

Agreed. Them coming to Help John Is a logical evolution of the story.
If John is reunited with Blue Team he’ll be taking his orders from Fred, (Being Kurt promoted him to lieutenant at the end of GoO.). So, unless John gets a promotion I doubt he’ll be giving any orders out, in the campaign, to the rest of Blue Team.

Fred isn’t exactly the kind of guy who likes the whole leadership role, so he’ll probably defer to Chief despite the difference in rank. Or Chief is promoted. Either works.

Besides, as Bungie said, Officers know not to -Yoink- with a Master Chief. It may be an NCO rank, but one that commands respect and authority.

this not to mention Chief has disobeyed a direct order from a Captain and the captain got in trouble and lost command for not listening to him. Fred knows the leader of Blue team has always been and always will be John 117.

He seemed to do pretty well leading Red Team on Reach. In fact, Fred was one of the four candidates for team leader of the Spartan IIs alongside John-117 (obviously), Kurt-051, and Jerome-092. He’s said to be an exceptional leader.
I wasn’t trying to disagree with the whole Chief giving out orders to blue team in halo 5 thing. I’d love to see this happen. I was just pointing out that a workaround was needed due to Fred being promoted.

Just because he doesn’t prefer leadership roles doesn’t mean he is bad at it. He simply hates attention, hence why he came in second in everything he ever did.

Where was it said that he didn’t prefer leadership roles specifically? It’s said that he doesn’t like attention but if he’s the best man for the job I doubt he’d let his lack of comfort get the better of him.
I have no doubt that he’d let Chief take over though considering Chief has always been the squad leader of the Spartan IIs.
