Spartan II vs Spartan IV

There is no way a Spartan IV could stand toe-to-toe with a Spartan II. So what makes Locke ONI’s choice on the matter to apprehend Chief? Why not another spartan 2? Did Spartan Locke actually think he would get chief, knowing that he is a true spartan raised in battle and blood.

locke was scared of master chief the whole game and was ROASTED on that fight

  1. What Spartan II would hunt a fellow Spartan II?
  2. The only officially remaining active Spartan II’s are Blue Team according to 343. Don’t ask me what happened to Naomi and Gray Team as I don’t know. Red Team is MIA.
  3. A Spartan IV in armor can stand toe to toe with a II.
  4. Locke is an expert in tracking and Osiris is clearly one of the best Spartan IV teams, so that’s probably why they were chosen.
  5. Why did you have to make another Spartan II vs Spartan IV thread?

Were you playing fan-fiction or Halo 5 because Locke certainly wasn’t scared nor was he roasted in that fight.

Only if the II is in GEN1 armor and the IV is in GEN2 armor, since Chief’s armor was upgraded to GEN2 standards he should have been a few times stronger than Locke. Of course everything about that scene was horrible.

Obviously it isn’t like that considering Chief wasn’t several times stronger than Locke. People just automatically assumed the II’s would receive the same physical boost the IV’s did. Nothing ever stated or implied that. As I said numerous times before Halo 5 came out, it was entirely possible GEN 2 armor had a fixated limit.

To be completely honest, blue team probably intimidated Osiris. In that fist fight Locke never really stood a chance and got so desperate he took out his magnum.

i dont call knocking chief down to one knee with a backhand punch that cracked his visor not standing a chance.

he got desperate because of the armor restraint, not because chief was lol stomping him. but once again people continue to rewrite the narrative to suit their own needs.

I’m honestly convinced people are watching an entirely different fight when they say Locke got stomped. When you get in numerous hits, one of which ended up being the most significant hit of the fight and are capable of countering and dodging numerous strikes then you certainly didn’t get stomped.

But like you said, people will rewrite the narrative in order to suit their own agendas.

> To be fair, Chief got so desperate he needed a headbutt to actually get somewhere at the end of the fight. That’s a pretty good indication of how even that fight actually was.

To be fair, the fight was sloppy and not even that well done in my opinion.

You would’ve thought the Spartans might’ve been… quicker, faster.

Even though the fight was way too slow for Spartans and…well…poorly done. It is canon  However if you re-watch it you clearly see Chief has the upper hand for most of the fight, he’s able to knock Locke to the ground twice and even smacks him with his own BR, this is before Locke pulls out the armour restraint, the only significant part where Locke is on top is when he backhands Chief and cracks his visor, after he pulls out the armour restraint though, Locke doesn’t get a single it in. Meanwhile Chief gets multiple. So it wasn’t even, but it was close!

If Spartan IIs have Spartan IV armour they would be unstoppable l

if Spartan IVs had Spartan II augmentations they would also be unstoppable.

if Locke had Chiefs augs he could have beat Chiefs -Yoink- (POSSIBLY) but without Chiefs extensive military knowledge and training if chief had IV armour he would totally shrek and rek any Spartan hands down.

Personally S2 > S4 can’t beat that insane training they gave all the Spartan 2s.

Spartan II’S are like family to each other as Halsey abducted them.locke was a assassin before he joined the Unsc or Spartan program and he was the best choice as he carried out assassinations for oni

Sorry, I was just curious, but based on augmentations not armor the Spartan 2 are way more superior. The IV rely on their armor to compensate for the lack of augmentations. It was noted that the older a spartan 2 gets the better his augmentations get. With that being said not matter what gen of armor they wear the Spartan 2 will always be superior. Sarah Palmer “Chief does what he wants”.

Not arguing with you here but was Chief issued a Gen 2 version of his suit in Halo 4?

> The second time Chief put’s Locke to the ground was actually because Locke was purposely trying to get rid of Chief’s rifle(Locke intentionally got close that time). It was relatively even if every detail is considered(a headbutt of all things was needed to actually make a difference). I don’t know what fight everyone else is watching, but i guess i watched a different one.

Well he failed. And it was close, but not even. I’d like to know how the fight would have gone down if either party was actually trying to kill each other though…
