I was always amazed at how the Spartans trained. Their absolute discipline, and how Dr. Halsey described them. At age 14 they had the bodies of 18-year-old Olympic athletes. That being said, I recently developed a training routine that was meant to mirror something similar to what Spartans did. It is inspired from the training of Navy Seals, along with how Olympic athletes train. If this post attracts some interest, I would be happy to post it here. I have been following this plan for about a month now, and let me warn you: it is not easy.
Do I get to kill a ODST? That’s my requirement.
You’d definitely be supremely fit from such a training course, but you would also need to replicate their living and eating conditions for a full effect. Their training was shaped by their eating, sleeping and educational habits. Not to mention a supposed genetic superiority of some kind.
It’d be a good workout regiment to be sure. But the attrition rate would be extreme very likely.
