Spartan-II Discrepancy

So, I compiled a list of all Spartan-IIs (including Class-IIs), and found something rather interesting. See list.

49 Red-Fifteen UNK 40 survived
50 [REDACTED] UNK 41 survived
CII Yasmine UNK CII Class-II dead
CII Janissary UNK Class-II not conscripted

There are 50 known Class-I S-IIs that were conscripted, which is fine, 7 of which are crippled, which can be remedied with 5 of the remaining 25, but then it gets screwy. Out of the 50 known C-Is, 1 died from augmentation complications. Using the remaining 20 C-Is gives us only 21 deceased after augmentation out of 30 according to lore. 41 Spartans survived augmentation, 8 more than we are told. Did Bungie screw this up on accident, or is the 33 number falsity from ONI? What is up with the S-IIs?

Well some washouts who initially rejected augmentation were able to be repaired and trained separately from the others. Red Team in Halo Wars were washouts until they were fixed. So I would say the number of washouts was higher initially and got smaller as they were fixed and made active duty.

There isn’t class-2 though so why even mention class-1?

I knew that Alice initially rejected augmentation, but I didn’t know that all of Red did.

I pulled this from halo.wikia.com, don’t know how reliable that is.

Is Class-II non-canon?

Halo wikia is not that accurate. Out of 75 Spartan 2’s only 11 are alive as of the latest know date of the halo universe.

John, Kelly, Fred, Linda - 4
Jerome, Douglas, Alice - 3
Jai, Adriana, Mike - 3
4+3+3 = 10
Randall?

Randall 037 died on that Fragment of Installation 04 in Halo Nightfall he set off a fury tac nuke by hand there’s no way he survived. Joshua might still be alive, his banshee was last seen trailing smoke by Kelly and Fred on Reach, Vinh and Otto disappeared after an explosion in castle, they may still be alive but unlikely, and James was sent flying into space after helping Chief and Linda delete the NAV data on gamma station or the MP map Condemned from the Defiant DLC in halo reach. James might still be alive but once again highly unlikely.

Then who’s No. 11?

Naomi-010, most likely.

Ah, that makes sense.

Are you forgetting washouts? There’s gotta be several of those who are still alive.

I’m pretty sure Maria (062?) is alive, the Spartan who retired and tested MK VI MJOLNIR.

There were 75 children in the S-II program.

True I have neglected the washouts but that only adds a few to the list.I know that is man was a washout but I don’t know the status of the rest of them.

I’ve seen lists of Spartan 2s, but is there anywhere that lists them along with which books they’re from?
