If someone use the Same Tag as you, yours will be removed.
It should be blocked if someone has already the ID.

Like clan tag?
I just ran into a full group with the same tag the other night
This 4 char spartan ID. If used just 4 fun the Same as my friend. His disappeared. And I wondered why my Tag has been got removed from time to time…
I can’t say for sure, sounds like glitch. See if you can repeat it. But I’ve seen plenty of tag repetition in game, so this sounds like it was a specific occurrence. Try it in a group, then try it out of a group and then join a party.

You might have to check the settings, there are options to view gamertags or IDs, among other things.
I agree. While mine disappears when playing with other members of my clan I believe it to be a glitch. Sometimes I’ve seen it work and other times it’ll disappear.
Are we talking about the ID inside the in-game scoreboard or the one above players?
As far as I know, it is 100% random if your tag is visible or not. I feel 50/50. Super weird.
