SPARTAN HABILITIES in HALO 6

What about your thoughts in Halo 6 spartan habilities?
I think that all new habilities are awesome, specially spartan charge and ground pound.
Are you think that should stay, improved o removed?
I think improved. And the speed of the spartan sprint too. And maybe should be added new more like Promethean vision of Halo 4.

*Abilities? For me I say no and yes. They need to implement unique abilities like how they added slide and thrusters in Halo 5. But Spartan charge is just a cheap shot for people that can’t aim. It’s so OP and it auto-aims towards anyone. It also has a lot of range to it. What they should of done was keep it in campaign for breaking down walls.

The iron Man suits need to stop from Halo 343.

Keep clamber, stabilize, thrust, and slide. Remove ground pound, spartan charge, sprint, and smart link on automatic weapons. That would be the perfect balance for me.

I agree, I find the abilities nice to have, though I don’t really vouch for spartan charge, especially annoying when people do it during a game of swat, or on breakout, killing their own teammates in the beginning.

I don’t like them. Feels too gimmicky to me.

I like Sprint and thrust.
And that’s all I need.

I’d prefer no spartan abilities for future games. They’re essentially replacements for things we could already do, but easier. However, I know that a lot of people do like them and even though I think their reasoning is flawed, completely removing them would make a lot of people upset. So I think a compromise would work best. Remove sprint, slide, spartan charge, ground pound, and smart-link while keeping thrusters, clamber, and stabilizers. Up the base movement speed a bit and I think both sides would be happy.

Slide would only work after thrusting on the ground. Couldn’t spam it like you can now.

I’d prefer power ups to make a return but maybe with their own twists. like add in some old armor abilities as one time use power ups such as armor lock, hologram, spartan charge, etc.

How would slide work without sprint?

An improvement upon clamber would be nice. All too often I try to clamber up a short wall that just isn’t quite straight, and it doesn’t work. As for the rest of the abilities, I would love to see them in Halo 6 for sure!

Ideally, I would like to see them all gone from the franchise, never to return. I’m referring to sprint, clamber, ground-pound, charge, thrusters, stabilize, slide, and ADS. In fact, I won’t buy another Halo game with sprint, as it is the most detrimental to the Halo formula of any of the “enhancements” that have been forced in to the game.

I really like the abilities. Slide and thrust and stabilize are great and I like ground pound because it adds a little more verticality. Spartan charge however, if they were to keep it I feel like if it didn’t do damage but it just knocked people backwards like when you do it teammates when there is no team damage, so it staggers them then that would be okay but that wouldn’t really fit with a lore because you can punch but personally I think they should keep them but remove charge, or at least change it

The only abilities that add anything meaningful to gameplay are Thruster Pack and Stabilizer, so I could negotiate on those with sufficient changes. Everything else is at best pointless and at worst detrimental to gameplay, so those can all go.

Ok my bad didnt think of it that way

I’ve just kind of thrown in the towel of inevitability and accepted that they’re probably here to stay whether I like them or not. But would I shed a tear if they left? Nope. I feel like the simpler gameplay of the older games is infinitely more accessible for a skrubby n00b like me (may be harder to master, but easier to pick up) and I have trouble relaxing in any playlist, social or ranked, in Halo 5 versus the older games because the gameplay is so lightning fast. I can pick up MCC and do reasonably well and have some fun. I just get curbstomped every time I try to play any Arena playlist in Halo 5. The skill ceiling is astronomical. I primarily blame the thrusters and the infinite sprint.

On a semi-tangential side note - I don’t have as much of a problem with the limited sprint in Halo 4 or Reach. Those games to me still feel mostly like Halo but evolved and massaged. I think if we had that BUT WITH EQUAL STARTS - no loadout or perk or ordnance crap - in Halo 6 that would be a decent compromise. Halo 5 just feels like a completely totally different game to me.

I mean I like them so far because in all halo game from halo 4 to reach the spartan abilities sucked and was not blalanced
