Im horrified by the prospect of a spartan doing the carlton. But some part of me wants to see that anyway.
Might be too subtle, but in the fall of reach book, spartans smiled by tracing a smile on their helmets.

Well, I would be fore emojis under one conditions, they interact with the friendly AI. It would be similar honking the horn to signal the AIs to get in. If you got the forward emote then you send the scout forward. You got the get down emote all marines/odst/grunts/jackals take cover. You got the fall back emote you get the picture.
Other than that I see no need for them.
