I don’t know about you but watching the Spartan IVs fight the elites close quarters in the weekly videos was a little lacking in terms of giving the Spartans a sense of speed and power that they have in the books or at least the Spartan 2/3s, no idea how fast a Spartan IVs reflexes are. So hopefully if 343 where to make another cinematic they take inspiration from this:
I agree. Hand-to-hand combat can be really entertaining if done right. Rooster Teeth choreographed some pretty awesome CG fight scenes for Red vs. Blue. Halo Wars also had a really cool fight scene:
> Yeah, we need to see what the Spartan-IVs can really do.
I don’t expect much. Quantity vs Quality. There’s a reason why Spartan 2’s and arguably 3’s are so bad -Yoink-. They’ve had many more years of training to be Spartans. Nothing else!

Ehhh, i disagree. They IV’s were badasses already as regular human beings (not anyone could become a IV) and having the same augmentations and MJOLNIR, their reflexes etc should be basically on par.
And yes, Halo 5 and 6 shouldn imply awesome hand to hand combat, including the Chief of course.

While it is cool, the elite’s reaction times kill the mood after while.
It’s an inevitable limitation of mo-cap, the super soldiers are limited by real life actors. I think a combination of mio-cap and full cgi would be necessary to bring out the best fights.

What’s limiting about Mo-Cap? Cause when I hear about it, it’s used as a foundation and is then tinkered and polished to speed things up. Also I don’t think it’s 100% mo-cap because this is from one of the animators who still works there and he did it by hand and I think it looks really good.
