Hello, Spartans! I’ve been brainstorming on how we can implement Spartan Companies to our current UI in Halo 5. My goal is for players to be able to identify a Spartan Company before a match starts.
Since Halo 5 only uses emblems to identify players in the beginning of matches, I propose that the Spartan Company emblem is placed on the upper right-hand corner of the emblem tile. I’ve noticed that all emblems are slanted to the left (leaving an empty space in the right of the tile). This would leave your personal emblem (taking the majority of the screen) on the left and a small Spartan Company emblem on the top-right corner of the tile. This would promote more people to play in teams.
What do you all think of Halo 4’s UI system? To an extent, I liked the spartan card system. The card system allowed players to view your spartan with personal colors and stances before each match.
I’m In a spartan company with 70 or something and I haven’t talked with a single one of them, much less play with them. It’s like they don’t even exist.

Hmm…I’m aware that you can already see your Spartan Company name, but I don’t think it’s placed in a convenient area. Halo: The Master Chief Collection did a decent job of using the empty tag area. What are your thoughts on why we have the current “picture-only” style?

I honestly don’t quite know. I guess 343 just wanted H5’s UI to be different

My Spartan Company is small. It’s a thing for all of my bros that know each other in real life. I’m considering expanding it, once forge is out. We love to play custom games. If anyone is interested, let me know!

Hmm…that sounds practical. Now that we’re getting Spartan Commendations, it’ll be essential that we play together.
how about a playlist you can only go into with your spartan company? must be in the same company…ranks change over same with arena. finishing in a top % yields different types of req packs.
