So my question is if anyone knows about there being penalties for farming commendations during a Warzone match. An example would be, two different companies agree to have two 12 man teams that start matching at the same time. This is in the hopes that the get into a match together and take turns farming commendations.
Is this against the rules, and if so, is there a risk of being banned for doing so?
If two teams are matching with the intent of boosting stats & progression systems then yes I see that as exploiting the matchmaking system and is very much so a bannable offence.
I imagine if anyone made a game clip of that taking place and sent it to Halo Support they will likely take action as it fits within their reporting criteria.
Alternatively, anyone can see your game history and tell if you’re boosting in matches and send that to Halo Support too.
Summary…don’t boost for stats. Especially if it’s just for Achilles, it’s a piece of armour that basically everyone has at this point, it’s lost its meaning by now to be honest. It isn’t worth the ban.
Alsoooo, I’m pretty sure it’s against the waypoint forum rules to discuss boosting/cheating/griefing. It’s entirely possible this thread could be locked because of it. Guess that’s up to the monitors.
Thanks for the reply. I was not trying anything nefarious, just needed an answer regarding rules before any of my Company members made a mistake based off of false information.
