Hey, so rarely do I feel like a noob but I have a question: is there any advantage to being in a company? I’ve gathered that there’s an armor that can be unlocked but beyond that? I have a network of players that I can play games with and frankly don’t play to unlock armor.
Would it allow me to open more req packs or give me more weapon skins? More arena gambits? Or is it just Achilles and a network of people to play with.

People are mostly in companies just for the Achilles armour that you can ONLY get through company commendations. But there are benefits to being in a company other than the armour. If it’s a full or fairly large company you always have people to play with and talk to, though the packs contain around 4 to 6 items, you are given free packs for completing company commendations, and you have more commendations to work towards other than the standard player ones in-game. I like being in a company because it just gives me more things to do

You get free packs but also XP when a commendation level is reached. Plus the Achilles armor and helmet
The additional commendation goals are a good point. Though they’re probably near impossible to get with smaller companies I’d wager.

There are 120 Spartan Company commendation packs available if you join a company that hasn’t gotten any of them yet, less if they’ve made enough progress on them ( 59 small packs for completing level 3 of each commendation, 59 packs for level 5, the mastery one for all kill commendations at level 3 and the mastery one for all kill commendations at level 5) .
The level 3 packs have 4 random items and the level 5 packs have 6 items. The all kill commendations level 3 mastery one has the Achilles armor and some random cards, the level 5 kill commendations mastery has the Achilles helmet and some random cards.
You also get XP for each commendation level completed, but very little. It’s 100 XP for completing level 1, 1000 XP for completing level 5.
I suppose it’s better than nothing though.
