I’d like to take a moment to inquire about a topic I haven’t seen discussed much; and that is the return of Spartan Companies in Halo Infinite. Due to their massive popularity on Halo 5, it seems like it would be a no brainer to reimplement Spartan Companies on the next game. But I’d like to hear what everyone else thinks. Do you think Spartan Companies will return on Halo Infinite? Should they return? What should change? What features should be added to the old formula? Let me know. Personally, I’d like companies to return with company leaderboards and clan matches similar to the Halo 2 days.
The idea of Spartan Companies was good. However I feel it’s full potential wasn’t met in Halo 5. I can see its potential in Halo Infinite. I would like to see some leaderboards, and maybe even rewards for companies that have completed all of the commendations for H5. I really hope they return. It should also be easier to invite people via in game. I think infinite would be huge so maybe even increasing the roster size for companies would be good.

I agree with all of this. There was much left to be desired with the last game. What number do you think would be good for a max roster size on the next game?

Assuming Halo Infinite is going to be huge and have a big population, I would say no more than 250. I think there should be some arena awards for companies and not have it directly tied to Warzone. If you open up the rewards for company commendations, you make an incentive for more players to be involved with spartan companies. Lead to more friendships, which at the end of the day is my favorite part about playing halo.
@Slim Haley That sounds reasonable to me. I feel like the rewards should be armor based like Achilles again, but with a broader variety of options.
100 to a company seems like a good #. 250 is way to high

Think so? I still think a number over 100 would be solid. Halo 2’s clans had 100 back in the day though, and that always seemed plenty. I guess we’ll have to see how popular the next game is. What do you think about company ranks and leader boards?

Yes soldier, looking back I agree 250 would be too much. 150 would be better.

leaderboards and company ranks make perfect sense. gives you something to really play for. i think you should be able to view your company on Infinite like you could view your halo 2 clan

150 isn’t too bad, Kind of a weird number. How about 343 members?

Yup! That would be dope. I’d like companies to have ranks so that companies could be ranked to make the concept more competitive. On Halo 5 companies came off to most competitive players as being too casual.

YES! Companies could take a whole different shape on infinite which would be best for it. It being tied to warzone made it one trick pony type deal. The thing that would really make a difference would be the IN GAME leaderboards. Not on a site, IN GAME. Make it more accessible. Not a lot of people sit on halo waypoint all day checking stats. It being in game would be a game changer.

I’m not sure it’d be kind of hard to keep track of that many member. Also I think there should be some updates made to spartan companies. They should include some form of democracy among the LT’s. As it stands, any LT can kick people for any reason. I think including a voting feature among the LTs would be good. It would be on the site so nothing could be done unless everyone agreed upon it on the site. Or you can have other loose parameters.

PREACH! I’ve been saying that too. Logging onto the site seems to be too cumbersome for most players. In-game company invites would be a far better way to encourage players to join companies. What do you think of company achievements?

I completely agree. Perhaps new positions like “Sergeant” that have the power to invite but not to boot?

yea they should add a 4th tier to the “general” command. like in h2 u had Peon Member Staff and Overlord. that would make alot of sense

Yeah, that’s pretty cool actually. Adding more positions to the chain of command would work well I think.
For starters, I think they should bring back playable Elites and scrap the “Spartan” part of the name. I also think they need to find a way to make the companies rewarding without negatively impacting the game.

I agree with the title issue. I lead my own company as well, and it’s kind of awkward asking some people to join my “spartan company” because the title sounds so goofy. Lmao.

Rewards need to be achievable by all companies, or have varying levels of reward. Small companies like mine had zero chance of getting Achilles. You could argue that we could make a bigger company, but we’re a small group of mostly personal friends an family, it would be nice to have rewards that all companies can reasonably achieve.
