Spartan collision

Strange that we cant jump on each others heads and stuff anymore. We just go through people

I feel like it may be a social only thing(hopefully)

Yeah it kinda sucks right?
Team jumping is fun as hell

Not sure how I feel about this. In a way I really like it however for customs it better have collisions.

I really like it. I always found it really annoying bumping in to people all the time messing up my mobility or strafing.

Yeah it definitely doesn’t feel right without collision. Also where is the friendly fire?

A social only thing as in we only bump into each other in social? Or the opposite? I think it makes more sense to bump into people in social if I had to choose one. I will miss all the funny interactions that happen with other real people because we bumped into each other :frowning: no more colliding mid air on narrows with your teammate…
Idk why but no collision really does make it feel like a free to play game.

Loosing collison is gonna have a much larger effect on gameplay than i think people realise. Your example of narrows is a great example that people might not have considered. But it goes beyond that, on halo 2 we used jump on each others head to get over walls that wouldnt be passable without those tricks.

It just seems like a weird loss to a game where physics have been such a main point since the start

If I’m being honest, I had hopes that ground pound would be replaced by Spartans being able to just splatter other Spartans with sheer weight and momentum just by aiming to land on them. But I don’t think that is going to be happening unless things change. Imagine playing on a spire remake and you would just faze through players and enemies instead of something wacky and interesting happening. I also remember Standing On Top of people’s heads all the time.
People could easily exploit this feature by standing in one corner of a map appearing to be just one person, and then they could just shoot and kill people instantly.

I for one am fine with friendly fire disabled. I can finally be absolute crap with the Sniper in peace.

Hopefully it was only disabled for the build and collison as wella s FF will return for ful, release

I really want collision and friendly fire back. It feels like you’re just a one man army without it. Its lonely :frowning:

Having no collision feels really weird, and despite no friendly fire, friendly knockback is still there. A teammate used a grav hammer and it flung me off the map, intentionally as we were the only ones in the area, and the game thought i suicided!

I wonder is the collision will come back in like a timed mode. Like a Halo CE or 2 throwback.

Ii like there isn’t collision, I hated when teammate push you in their course

Ya I was hoping a grapple ground pound would be a thing of beauty but if we cant collide the physics won’t allow is to use that momentum in a satisfying way. I wonder how melee is effected?
Can anyone confirm if momentum modifies melee damage or not?
