Spartan charge

the spartan charged is good I mean in close quarters you charge and shoot

Why not make your seperate posts into one post. It just looks like you want to boost your forum rank now…
At least make it a discussion and not just a statement…

No, it isn’t. It’s aggravating and cheap. What was the point of this post btw

No Spartan Charge can go away. Rewards players for recklessly running around aimlessly and get a cheap kill for doing so.

Hahaha, thats a joke right???

Not well implemented… any knock-back and additional melee damage should be tied to a Thruster-melee… a thrust with a quick melee attack at the end of the boost.

It would be a more skillful approach to the concept of what Spartan Charge is… just suiting Halo’s gameplay much more naturally.

No more sprinting around corners and pressing the “panic button…” and a Thrust would be used, meaning you’re sacrificing its defensive capabilities to line up an offensive attack that could fail.

Either way, you’re stuck with a cooldown after attempting a risky play…

Rather than clogging the forums with this topic, you could discuss it on my thread on Spartan Charge. Granted you disagree with me, but we can still discuss it.

I-I-I what? That is the worst Spartan Ability or in fact worst ability in Halo, even worst then Armor Lock. It makes games less fun and sword duels even worse.

Is there really a need to create an entirely new topic on this?

Just quoting what I said before to attempt to add discussion

> Its concept made perfect sense with the mechanics they had, it was something to replace the double melee problem with sprinting, seen in Reach and 4, while still being a melee. The knockback is there to further prevent this, preventing the user from immediately meleeing again and getting a near instant kill, while the opponent can continue shooting.

> Mix that with the other hindrances of Sprint (can’t go until full Sprint when shot at, no shield regen, etc.), it becomes a risk-reward time of mechanic to gain a slight bit more damage than a regular melee, but something you have to commit to. If someone sees you at range, you’ll lose your shield before you even attempt the Spartan Charge, and you’ll die during your stun time.
>
> The problem is the fact that your body essentially receives “bullet magnetism” and homes in on targets when its remotely close enough, providing hits when it shouldn’t and making it harder to dodge. 343i needs to decrease that magnetism down to near zero so you only go in a straight line, and increase the stun time of the user a bit, and it quite literally becomes a sprinting melee.

Hoenstly, Spartan charge would be decent IF they nerfed the damage of it. Being able to melee a target without having to disengage sprint isn’t bad in itself. Its that they’re almost guaranteed to win the shootout that comes immediately after. If the damage was the same as a normal melee, then the victim could simply punch them mid-charge and even the playing field.

No, why? Should I not suggest anything?

Gotta say, I’m guilty of this. I realize how much it was clogging up the section and stopped.

No, he’s not a mod but his post was spot on.

OP, feel free to continue your discussion in Glitched’s thread. Thanks!
