I played a warzone game on Darkstar last night and 2 people on the other team were using speed boosts and spartan charging people around corners the entire game. Together they got 43 spartan charge kills! It’s actually a lot harder to counter then I thought in tight quarters of dark star. Please remove the 1 hit kill w/ speed boost 343! Here’s one guy’s medal count.
There is something we all need to incorporate into our repertoires- jumping. Typically jumping makes sure they go right under you.
I could usually avoid one of them but then the second guy would get me…I can’t imagine if more then two were doing it for the whole game

Not for me, they just Spartan Charge my foot and I’m dead. Its like hitting my foot is a critical hit…Halo is too much like COD man
I’m surprised the forums aren’t making a bigger deal of this. Playing against any number of people doing this is insufferable. Spartan Charge is bad enough with how quickly it is enabled and how hard it is to miss with it, so making it a one hit kill is a huge mistake.

Because autoaim lunge negates when you jump, right?
No, they follow you up. You get caught by a Speed Booster and you’re screwed.

Good, prevents camping and forcing the campers to move.

Spartan charge can track, but I think jumping might be the only hope on that situation.
anyone who needs the SC commendations should take advantage while you still can
It’s a cost-effective way to rush into a base and cause chaos and personally it’s really satisfying to pull off stuff like a triple kill with the Spartan Charge after a long streak of deaths. Keep the 1-hit kill.

I think if you could call it in a few times a game it would be ok, but because it’s level is so low, these guys were calling it in every life and probably stacking multiple boosts per life, making them really hard to kill.

The trick is to get up so their reticle is never red. You don’t let them lock on. It’s tricky and I certainly haven’t mastered it yet, but it’s our only hope lol.

“Making them really hard to kill” is the point of pretty much all the boosts. A level 2 REQ of that power can give an attacker with a low REQ level a significant edge in a WarZone Assault match that they’ve been losing. And if they still lose the match, at least racking up a handful of rapid kills will make them feel better.
It’s Warzone… Spawn a tank. Spawn a banshee. Spawn invisibility…
Everything is OP is Warzone.
For me its fine with speed boost but HOW BOUT YOU AIM WITH IT AND HIT RIGHT NEXT TO THEM??!! like WTF.

true…except you can’t keep calling in tanks or nornfangs every time you spawn

I agree with the speed boost portion, and how it will give you an advantage in gun fights, but not the one hit kill portion of spartan charging that they changed.
It really is OP now but it makes speed boost usable now and help spartan charge commendations for the companies hehe

yeah because waiting for your shields to recharge around cover is camping… Grenades are meant for people crouching around corners, you should be rewarded for sprinting and pushing a button. And jumping doesn’t mean he will miss speaking you can jump AND Spartan charge. This should simply not be in the game, it’s hard to justify why it should be.
