Spartan Charge vs Shotgun

So apparently the Spartan Charge still gets you even though you kill your opponent before you even get hit. What the -Yoink-…

This really needs to get looked at. It has happened to me several times now.

It should count as a bulltrue or something.

it’s probably lag. it happens a lot in infection

It’s definitely lag I get spartan charged from so far away no matter which way I jump thrust etc even been hot around corners is just connection issues I hate charge wish it wasn’t in the game

Probably lag.

Thats lag, I get so much of it in Infection where I shoot someone and they kill me as they die a milisecond later from my shotgun. Happens also when infected too.

lag my boy

Why does everyone always assume it’s lag? I know how lag feels like and that’s not it.

I’ve had the exact thing happen to me plenty of times and as frustrating as it is, it’s lag. I find with the shotgun in Halo 5 there almost is a small delay when you shoot someone with it. So if someone is charging at you at the same time you shoot him, he’s most likely going to win.

This is the same thing that happened when there was a post about Sword vs Melee and people thought it was lag, but it wasn’t. It just doesn’t make sense.

This also happens with energy swords too. When I play infection I can kill a infected with a shotgun and I still die even though I killed him or her before the sword touched me.

It is lag though.

It’s the same reason why people you drop with a headshot spin around and get a shot or two on you. It can take a couple seconds to communicate that the other player was hit/killed.

Not sure what you mean…

In infection you have to kill the damn infected while they are 20 feet in front of you so you don’t get hit by the lunge. Annoying but no real fix for it. Lagggggggggggggggg

I’ve been saying this since Beta, the main issue with spartan charge is that the lag compensation favors the charger rather than the one being charged, which makes it impossible to time things since you don’t know what kind of connection they’re playing on & thus how close they actually are vs. how close they appear on your screen.

Same issue that Armor lock had tbh. 343 just needs to stop giving latency preference to any sort of ability, shooting should always take priority.

It’s lag. It happens fairly often when I’m playing SWAT sometimes up to a second of the other player living longer. It’s a pain in the -Yoink- but you’ve got to plan ahead for it.

I’m sure that’s just a server/lag issue. That shouldn’t be happening but multiplayer isn’t perfect.

Got a clip?

So what you are saying is that, you headshot someone and you never shot again, but the person still turns around and shoots/kills you?

Unfortunately, I don’t.
