Spartan Charge...ugh...

They need to make it so you can’t Spartan charge when taking damage of any kind. It’s even worse than the old noob combo and all most as bad as armor lock.

They need to remove it completely. Getting rewarded for sprinting is probably the single most dumbest design idea ever. Thats why halo will never be a big esport.

as a player in the top 1% of spartan charge kills…no

lol it is the second highest risk/reward tactic (please try going a whole game trying to spartan charge ppl it just doesnt work) so calling it a noob tactic is ignorant

learn to counter it like everyone else, boost out of the way, pay attention to your surroundings, and maybe use your own melee to drop their shields when they charge you and out play them?

just some helpful tips

it adds another level of being able to play and outplay other players…rek or get rekt

Why can the spartan charger get killed just as easily as the victim with a melee?

It almost doesn’t even make sense… you can’t smart scope while taking damage but you can still Spartan charge?

you also cant reach full speed under fire while sprinting

Arena this is before you sprint or before you reach SC speed

Warzone this is cancelled by weapons with Kinetic Rounds (increased knockback)

It needs to be nerfed so that you cant do it after running only 2 -Yoinking!- steps…

No it doesn’t it rewards by simply running into some one. It’s the ultimate noob tactic. Takes zero skill what so ever. With the faster pace and smaller radar it’s a lame tactic as well.

yeah just remove it in h6

SP charge is fine. Its never used up front anyways, mostly from behind which in any case will have resulted in a death. Perhaps some counter measure would be nice as in with a dropped shield no SP charge.

I’m pretty sure Spartan charge is just fine I barely used it maybe 5 out of every 1000 kills but I do not see a issue to speak of easy way to counter jump thruster to the left or right melee br headshot

^this 100%, its like the boltshot in halo 4

You can’t enter Sprint. which is the state required to be in to slide or charge, when being damaged. You CANNOT spam shoulder charge, nor use it if not sprinting.

The width on the auto-assist needs tweaking, not its actual engagement.

like i said, please try running around for a game and rack up as many spartan charges as you can, its not as “noobish” as you would believe

Paying attention to your surroundings isn’t as easy as it sounds when radar extends only to 18 feet. You are given no time to react whenever someone sprints at you because of this. Boosting out of the way may not help either as the enemy player may still be able to track you with the lunge that even a thruster may not be enough to completely dodge a spartan charge. Lastly, attempting to melee them while they try to charge you requires perfect timing, as there is a great knockback if you get hit, taking you out of melee distance and being an easy one shot.

Spartan charge may severely punish you for missing, but it does a great job for ensuring that it DOESN’T happen 90% of the time.

The amount of auto-assist in this ability makes me question your claim about spartan charge.

It’s quite easy to defend against if it isn’t in the back. Just take a deep breath calm down and learn to boost out of the way or melee the same time they do… they have no advantage you don’t

Mad cause bad.

I hardly use, but I know how to counter it if I time it properly.
