First of all, don’t get me wrong: I like the new spartan abilities idea. But, I’m a big assassinations fan since they were introduced back in the Halo Reach days. The problem with spartan charge is that it interferes with the assassination animation because both of them share the same button (holding down RB). In my opinion, assassinations are one of the funniest things in halo, I love humiliating people that do not pay attention to their radar, and because 343 made them pretty relevant (you can customize which one you prefer), I think they should override spartan charge when you are in assassination range, or maybe they should be took out completely.
I’m sorry for my bad english.
Run up to the victim, when close enough stop for a sec and then assassinate. It does take time to get used to but you can pull it fairly frequent with practice.
Just tap it for the Charge and hold it for the assassination.
sometimes sucks
If you’re sprinting toward your enemy’s back with the intent of assassinating them, slide toward them and assassinate when you’re behind them. After sliding, the sprint mechanic is stopped.
Try using your boost as part of your charge instead of hitting melee during a sprint. The melee button gives you a short burst of speed (spartan charge) but if you manually boost it shouldn’t do that.
