here is a clip, which was the third time i had done this last night finally recorded the last once since the first two times i kinda blew off as maybe lag. this is breakout no radars nothing yet by using my ears i was able to here a spartan running behind me which gave me enough time to turn around and counter the SC. like i said previously i had done this a few times but maybe blew it off as lag since it was breakout but after three times i assume its not now. you dont need a radar to avoid SC for one and two SC is not as OP as ppl think. clearly
your ears will help you so much. now if you use a headset that only allows you to talk i understand it being a bit more challenging for you but even a $30-$40 headset that provides game sound is all the difference as opposed to hearing the game off your TV.
I agree. SC is awesome and not OP
Spartan charge is one of the dumbest additions to Halo since 343i took the wheel
First being promethean vision

I have to agree with this!
Looking at the entire Halo series, these are my top 5 scratch your head additions.
- Bloom on DMR in Reach
- Armor Lock in Reach
- Health Regen in H3
- Spartan Charge in H5
- Promethean Vision in H4
This is basically what I’ve been saying since the first spartan charge complaint thread, just listen its really hard not to hear them

How does this support the topic at all?

Promethean Vision in h5 truly is a scratch your head addition since I don’t remember if being an addition to halo 5
The Spartan charge AR combo has become the equivalent of the sprint double melee from H:R

Halo 4 had promethian vision, not Halo 5.

What if you are fighting someone in front of you and can’t hear them?

you can still hear them you just have to “learn?” i guess is the right way to say this, learn to be able to focus on hearing your surroundings while not getting to distracted from the person you are shooting at

Personally, I can hear them even when fighting, they are pretty loud

It’s much easier said then done. You can have the best headset in the world, but if you and your team are constantly communicating and calling out, it’s very hard to hear the opponent sprinting. Sure, Breakout is a whole other story since, the callouts/communication is much less during the match and it is easier to hear.
Most people who bring up the SC issue are not talking about SC in Breakout, but they are talking about every other playlist.

agreed, but they also mention it in swat also, the main point really was no matter how big or small a radar is and really any playlist you should not be so caught up in looking in front of you for enemies, but to always be aware of your surroundings since that seems to be the biggest issue with the radar and SC. ppl come off as only looking forward, and based off the numerous post about no one using a mic the communicating or call out example could be hit or miss really.
I don’t play with high volume, and I have a decent amount of background noise. I know someone that can hear everything, but then so can his neighbors.

It’s not a problem whatsoever in SWAT, through my experience. As long as you have a gun, you will always kill them before they even get near you.

yea hence having headphones…you can mute you TV you hear everything and no one in the same room can…

we arent talking about someone running up in front of you. and if you say you hear them coming behind you then you only prove my point of this post
spartan charge should be removed from breakout. like a classic halo movement. no sprinting but keep thrusters enabled.

SC in SWAT is silly. The team I play with messes around in SWAT all the time and we do SC/Melee only games and win, due to how ridiculous SC is in that playlist. I can agree with you in regards to the Motion Sensor being a crutch and I’ve always questioned why Motion Sensor is even in matchmaking. It’s one of the reasons why I refuse to watch HCS, because Motion Sensor is still there and to me that is a joke. In my opinion SC and Motion Sensor should be removed, but I know it will never happen.
I don’t expect randoms to use or have a mic, I’m just talking about people who run with a full or near full party in Arena.

SC is used in SWAT the most in my experience. You will not ways kill them before they get near you. Overgrowth is a prime example. You can win using SC/Melee only and win consistently.
