Im not sure if maybe im just misinterpetting it but in the latest update where they have said that a progression system is a higher proirty then season 2 does this mean we will get it when season 2 comes out or is it no idea when its coming 343 just working on that more then they are with season 2? Just didn’t seem very clear to me
They are in development with no set release date
At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t see this feature added to the game for another year(s).
I hope we don’t all start at ‘Recruit’ after playing 100s of matches.

I was kinda hoping the same thing, maybe all the exp we are earning will is getting counted and once ranks release we will all go through to what we should be rank wise
If they add a new progression system, all players will most likely start fresh. Similar to what recently happened with Ranked. Otherwise players will be all over the spectrum on day one and they aren’t going to get good data from that chaos.
I would assume the things they have in development right now like ‘Spartan Career,’ and the things they are still working on like ‘anti-cheat,’ will be available in Season 2. But it wouldn’t surprise me if they had to push a few of these back to Season 3.
Ranks will reset every season though.
The career would basically just be an indication of how long you’ve been playing, really. It’s like ranked v SR in H5.
We will all probably come into the new Spartan Career as a ‘Recruit’ or ‘Level 1’ or however they set it up, with all the stats you have now on Halo tracker(Ranked resets every so often). And then everything from Events/Challenges/Matches/etc from that Season forward will go towards your ‘Spartan Career.’
We don’t even know what this Spartan Career really is… we should probably wait a little bit longer to see what it’s actually going to look like. We might see it in Season 2 since they said it is in development right now, but that could also mean it won’t be ready until Season 3. That’s that lovely PR pillow talk, where the response is purposely left open ended.
For sure - I get it.
I’m just saying it would be nice if they look at it and say, ‘You’ve played over 1000 matches, so we’ll bump you up a few tiers.’ That is if whatever it turns out to be has tiers.
Ideally they’ve been tracking the total XP everyone has gained overall and whatever the career is would be based on that.
I just hope the ranks themselves are more like halo 3 or reach i dont want just a number next to my name and i dont want the system from mcc where its basically just copied prestiging from cod. I want miltary type ranks then like specials once you get so high like reach did
