Spartan bots easier than ODST?

Is it just me or are the Spartan Bots easier to fight than the ODST ones. My team seams to be absolutely stomping them every game, way more than the ODST bots.

No, they react a lot faster and seem to be a lot more aggressive. They’re on the level of a bad Halo player now compared to ODST’s being a good CoD player playing Halo for the first time.

Then why are they being out-scored more than my ODST matches? Have I just had a strangely lucky start?

Probably referring to the AI behavior, still not very smart, the difference from the intelligence/behavior to be the same as the spartan bots; however, the odst bots have better aim/more aggressive as JoeySTRIKE said, if that makes sense.

The accuracy and strafing on the bots on ODST are better but the awareness of Spartan bots are higher. I find spartan bots easier to kill as well.

More deadly but getting less kills? That doesn’t exactly add up. Maybe they are more aggressive but it looks like it’s actually hurting their performance more than helping it.

When did I say less kills? ODST bots clearly gets more kills. I just don’t know where you got that.

You got used to ODST bot behavior and are now good with dealing against the bots

I was saying because my original post was questioning if Spartans are worse because they get worse scores. To me it seems like if they are getting less kills then they are less effective bots.

there all grenade happy thats all i know

Yes, the spartan bots are easier/worse than ODST bots. ODST bots kill much faster than spartan bots, but what I’m saying is that the ai behavior didn’t change as far as I know, if you’re paying attention to what I’m saying.

The bots were easier to kill when the flight started Friday. Yesterday someone turned them up to eleven and they got very agressive. The amount of jumping they do is ridiculous. I personally am against jumping in Halo and feel it makes the game look pretty silly. I generally only jump to get over things or scramble. The bots are jumping like grasshoppers on -Yoink!-. How about some playlists with jumping turned off?

I agree, the Spartan bots also seem to run away a lot more often which is getting them killed and keeping me alive.
The ODST bots were way more difficult in the way that they generally try to take you out with them.

Edit:

Did you just say jumping doesn’t belong in Halo?
You know jumping, one of the best ways to avoid being shot and a primary movement mechanic for 20 years, does not belong in Halo?

Im stunned. I don’t even have a response to this.

Yes so we agree then haha

Yeah. They feel a bit worse than ODST. They don’t seem to group up as much as with ODST and they seem to behave a bit more stupid in certain situations.

I almost want to say that the ODST and Spartan difficulties should be swapped.

They seem better than ODST for me, just nowhere near as much better as ODSTs were than marines.

Jumping? That’s been around since the 2000s

Lmao. If Halo had no jumping where would old and new fans agree?

It absolutely should be removed, it’s dumb. Halo is based on science fiction which suggests a slight nod to reality (the science) should be part of the game. Incessant jumping is not reality. Name one battle in the real world ever won by jumping humans. I’m not saying that is the only reason to not have it in Halo, but it is part of the argument. Like gamerz do, they find things to exploit in games that the designers never intended. Sometime it’s good and fun and sometimes it’s bad and dumb. The ludicrous jumping is out of control, but obviously 343 has embraced it to the point that they have programmed bots to do it with great efficency. Nonetheless, I will continue to jump infrequently and the rest of you an jump your fool heads off. Everyone does their own thing and that is fine.

I can’t tell if you’re trolling or not but if you aren’t……… you’re in a very small percent. Probably the only one even that thinks that Halo doesn’t need jumping.
