So Halo reach grenades. I think we all know the horror. There is so much wrong with these things, I don’t even know where to start.

Huge, they get stuck in between legs and other small cracks. I have had a nade get stuck in between my legs so many times. They also can get stuck in armor(frags). Sticking folks became easier.

Overpowered, if you have low health but full shield, one grenade can kill you. Ridiculous.

Frags, These babies get stuck on invisble walls (stickies do not). They also bounce like a heavy rock.

Grenade pick up, I get a delay sometimes when i run over frags or stickies. Ill have them in my inventory 2 seconds later. Not a super game changer, but it can be. This happens on LAN and split screen as well, not just XBL.

Shooting nades. Anti-strategic. I throw a nade and all of a sudden I have no shields because someone from across the map tried to shoot me, but he or she missed and shot my nade. Sweet.
So any ideas for halo 4 grenades? EMP perhaps?

The Reach grenades WERE the Halo 3 grenades (except for different throwing physics, I guess). The reason they were so OP was because the grenades were designed with REGENERATING health in mind. Reach didn’t have that, so if you so much had a crack in your shields or health, you were dead.
Frag, Plasma, Spike, Incendiary.
In short: Halo 3’s grenades. I miss my Spikies.

Why would we need the Spike grenades?
They served the same purpose as Plasma ones did.

Same purpose, but slightly different mechanics. Also no bounce if you throw them at walls or something.
yeah I never really got kills with just the spikes on the spike grenade.

Not really enough to warrant a separate grenade type.
Besides, 343 is probably going to make completely NEW types of grenades for Halo 4.

I played Halo 3 today, and those guys blow up FAST. It’s hard to dodge them because of that. Maybe Halo 3’s strength and Halo:Reach’s timing. That’s be good.
I do miss the spike grenade, too. Had a more focused explosion that caused less collateral, but still an impressive amount of destruction to vehicles. I think the grenades should roll a bit instead of stopping dead. They are mostly round, after all…
Also, I don’t understand the grenades on reach. They seem… picky. I say this because sometimes they kill a target in immediate proximity and sometimes they do not. Maybe I’m just a 'nade magnet, but they ALWAYS kill me T^T
Frankie already said that they are not the nukes they are today. Whether that means that the blast radius is reduced, the damage isn’t so bad, or both, is yet to be revealed.
Spikes and firebomb were hella fun to play with. Great for screenshots too.
Don’t throw them as hard.
Require skill. Reach grenades did not.

Although this is probably true, how do you know for sure they will be new? Couldn’t they be returning to Halo since they were in Halo 3?

Halo 3 nades were so sick. They threw and bounced perfectly. They weren’t overpowered. I would just bring those back.
