As everybody is saying, it’s just an armor variant.
I believe it has its toy already as it was the face of the Halo 5 Beta trailer.

It looks cool but I think it is just am armor variant.
It’d be cool if it was a secret character sent to stop Locke
The Athlon armor is just a minimalist armor set, which I think looks awesome.
Armor variant…until we get more information.
My guess is that is a competitive armor set, not to be used in a ground combat setting.
