Has anyone noticed any difference in difficoulty from ODST to Spartan difficulty?
No seems the same maybe a little bit more aggressive not as big of a jump as marine to ODST lvl IMO.
No, not really. I feel 343 should make them a tad bit more aggressive. I expected Legendary difficulty A.I. from previous games, but I’m not complaining. Still fun regardless.
Yeah. The spartans aren’t that hard. The only difference I am really noticing is that they are a bit better at avoiding damage (crouching and strafing when you shoot at them). After seeing pretty much all of the difficulties I’m a little disappointed. There needs to be a more profound difference between the difficulties and I feel like spartan should be much harder. That being said, I don’t want all the skill to come in aiming skill. They are fun to play against but they aren’t that hard to completely slaughter.
The only difference I have seen is that they are more grenade happy than the other difficulties.

All I’ve noticed is they are slightly more defensive and they will duck/strafe when shooting them head to head.
They still will get stuck in places and still throw grenades at you regardless of where they are looking.

I did not realize they changed it. I just played my first match after getting some work done and was 19-3-3 with 60.27% accuracy and 4840 damage. Did not seem like they were as aggressive to me for some reason. I actually thought they felt easier.
And I am getting upset at this screen capture, lol. Keeps telling me it cannot capture stuff. I deleted the 20 something clips and shot I have and have over 400 gb space.

Hopefully this screen shot works. I think my only issue with the bots is the grenade spam but it was not as bad in this match.
I think the grenade spam can have something to do with the bots dying and respawning with grenades all the time.
But I hope they make the bots a bit more evasive and défensive, wouldn’t want bots that agressive to replayce players who leave. Would just end up beeing cannonfodder
you would’ve expected that there would be a bigger difference
thought they had the tech to do this as the previous halo campaigns had some crazy ai
jackal snipers anyone?
Haven’t noticed a difference in difficulty but they’re movement/strafe feels more realistic to a pvp player than the odst ones did so the experience feels better for me
Yeah you could really notice the difference between recruit and ODST, mainly in the fact that they suddenly shot like gods with the sidekick. The only difference I’m noticing is that Spartans not always blindly engage when someone shoots them. They do strafe more intense but they seem to not be able to shoot and strafe at the same time so a full assault usually just outgunnes them
A few basic issues remain with all levels though; you are invisible to them behind a drop shield, they try to pick up active plasma nades and there is a sweet spot just out of melee range where they get really doubtful between strafing, nading and shooting… noticeable by them suddenly looking towards the floor and jumping.
Overall they are still awesome and if you engage them mid-long range with the sidekick they will perfect you often. Hope that in later flights they will actually use power weapons. Picking one up (or a power up for that matter) usually makes them freeze.

But all the difficulties are grenade happy.
Whose grenades are nukes, btw. And if one explodes in your face but doesnt kill you it’s basically a flashbang.

I know that all the difficulties are grenade happy, I’m just saying that the Spartan difficulty AI are more grenade happy than the others.

Isn’t that basically the whole of Halo’s MP since forever ? Halo has been always a very grenade happy game, especially the Halos that allowed us to carry 4 nades.
Someone retreats around a corner after you shot them, throw a nade or two. Someone is approaching you around a corner, throw a nade. A tight room that has an enemy, throw a nade. Think there’s someone coming up towards you soon that’s too far away to be noticed by the radar, throw a nade. Match starts and there’s limited places an enemy can pop up at the start, throw a nade at one of those places.
You spawn with 2 nades, there’s plenty of nades on the map too so spamning them isn’t big of a deal so the AI using them a lot feels appropriate really, that’s at least how my Halo experience in MP has always been with regular players.
I didn’t even notice we had moved from ODST bots to Spartan bots so must not be that much of a difference.

Reach grenades were pretty powerful if I remember correctly but wouldn’t call them nukes. The bots grenade placements have really left me flabbergasted at times though. I’ve seen them bounce frags off walls that land right at my feet.

It doesnt feel like its “more” it just feels like its the notmal amount of nade spamming BS we’re used to from these nuke dispensers.
