Remember the “Take a break” pause menu option from Evolve? What it did was that it replaced whoever you were playing as (such as the monster) with an Ai bot. This was very useful in case we had a “brb moment” in the middle of a match. This could work in the exact same way in Halo 5’s multiplayer. What do you think? Do you think this should be added?
I think the drop-in-drop-out nature with which they designed the system means that a player could simply back out and the AI takes back over…then the player could rejoin and take over again.
Edit: oh, you’re talking multiplayer, not campaign. In that case, no way. That’s instant fodder. No way that could work.
I would vote no, because I would not use it and it would be annoying to have ais pick up power weapons or just rush the enemy. It wouldn’t work very well. Good thinking though, a pretty fresh idea 
Edit: Also, L4D had that same feature as Evolve.
I’d say yes, as it would allow for things like bot matches. Since 343 seems quite proud of its new “Musketeer” squad AI, this seems like the time to add them.
Ok, so how about we just remove the option from the pause menu and just have it for replacing quitters?
So what if, when someone quits, one of the three musketeers (the Blue Team/Osiris AI) takes over, the player would still be punished and the AI could take on traits from the player who left, i.e. armour and gameplay traits, for example how good they are at strafing, their accuracy, generic play style (aggressive, cautious, escapes. fights to the end).
Nah, just campaign.
Only in the campaign, no way in hell should that exist in the multiplayer. If your doing team slayer, the AI will always be losing to the enemy players…thus costing your team the match.

AI literally take away the meaning of competitive PvP matchmaking…

I’d love them for offline and customs, but I don’t think they’d work too well in Arena or Warzone.
You know what im thinking of now. Brother’s in Arms: Road to Hill 30 Mp. Where each player commanded a squad of AI and Focused on killing and out flanking each other. And when the player was killed, he swapped to the next AI in command of his squad.
Of course in BiA, it was always easy to spot the player for the AI would actually hug walls, and 1st person shooters, the way they are, you can’t in with AI like that sadly. So I would always snipe the players and use the time it took to swap command to flank or push my squad forward to the next bit of cover
Oh I thought OP was talking about Custom Game bots at first. Because they REALLY REALLY SHOULD add them in for customs. In fact, without them or Firefight, I will absolutely refuse to ever buy this game. Yes, I consider them that needed.
As to MP AI bots taking over for players… Eh. Only for non-ranked I’d say.
