One of the things I’m looking forward to most in Halo Infinite is the Spartan Academy. The overall concept of it is incredibly interesting to me because I love how its basically a platform that eases you in to the world of Halo.
Now there were three things in particular that were said to be a part of the SA experience: Tutorials, weapon drills, and training mode. All of this is pretty fire. The question is, will there be much more than that? I don’t know if this has been confirmed or not but (pretty sure it has but I might be wrong); will there be a hub area of some sort? A place where all of your fellow spartans congregate just to fool around and hang, and/or compete in mini games for temporary double xp, or something like that, would be dope as hell. The last edition of Inside Infinite included a juicy nugget of information that kinda tickled my uh [redacted].
Something along the lines of: “Your Spartan will play an integral role in the Halo universe,” or something like that.
I don’t think its far fetched to think that the Spartan Academy is going to play a monumental role in our “careers.” This probably entails features like multiplayer PvE events and/or “Raids,” campaign challenges, PvP challenges and more.
Imagine Spartan Laurette audibly giving you mission briefings for your own Spartan everytime you log in to play. A little detail that could really boost your desire to be the very best.
One thing I would like to see in Spartan Academy is getting your Spartan accustomed to his/hers shields and camera settings for the first time once you get introduced to the game, similar to the first levels of Halo 1 and 2. Bro if that happens, I’ll cry. Like a baby.
What are you guys looking forward to in the Spartan Academy? Any suggestions/hopes/wishes?
I’m hoping the academy is fully explorable, but I’m also very interested in what it might offer. Maybe we will be able to interact with other players at the academy during the pre-game lobby, or maybe there’s a room for the player. Granted a player room wouldn’t serve much purpose outside of earned displays for accomplishments such as beating the campaign, or a boss at least I think.

The pregame lobby idea is really dope! I would love to see that. A mini warmup before a match is always good.

It works really well in games when there is a longer wait time for some reason. I’d happily play in a warm up FFA lobby while searching for a game in ranked for a less populated playlist. It’s not very user friendly now as you can’t do anything while you search.
I would like some secret rooms or spots hard to reach in the map that would have ONI secret documents or terminals would be cool. Imagine ya have to grapple up somwhere then grenade jump across two bulidings and find some cool stuff to unlock. Glad im not the only one who is interested in the Academy and what it will be like

That would be cool. I loved the hidden skulls in the maps to find in forge mode on Halo 3!

Collectibles would be great too, I agree. It gives the Academy that much more purpose for being there. Getting rewarded for simply just wandering around would be a POG moment. Yes sir.

A perfectly hidden skull in the academy would be damn amazing. It would have to be a REALLY unique one though haha

I like these ideas, I especially like the idea of more PVE content for multiplayer and the idea of the academy functioning as a social space.
Wait . . . . (lightbulb) . . . . what if there was a secret room that was hard to find and had a door that could only be opened at a certain rank (ONI clearance and all that) and when you go to the door with a high enough rank a cutscene plays where you walk in and see a single container in the middle of the room at the end of a hall and then lights start to light up along the path until it reaches the container and after a moment you walk along the path up to the container and as you stand in front of it the glass shields retract in the container and in a dramatic cutscene the container lights up and you see that the container has the MK V Mjolnir that the Master Chief wore during the Battle of Alpha Halo, and you unlock the MK V Gen 1 that is now yours forever . . . . how about that? Cool? Just randomly occurred to me.

I love that idea! It’s little things like that which give you a lot of purpose for leveling up. Milestones that everyone could achieve without a battle pass.

I cannot wait to experience it even as someone who has been playing for a very long time now it can help newer players get an understanding of the halo universe.
