Here are some evidences why 343i didn’t took any stuff from CoD: Thruster Pack
It’s been in the franchise for a long time but some of you didn’t realise that. Some older Halo books I think even Fall Of Reach decsribes how Spartans are using T-Packs, and that is 15 years ago. 343 didn’t stole CoD Truster or whatever it’s called in that game.
Clamber
It’s like crouch jumping. Nothing is changed except that they have added animation. Yes it is a little bit easier but I don’t care about that. It adds the touch that you are a spartan.
Sprinting
Ok, I agree with the fact that sprint shouldn’t be lasting forever, but a lot of people already complained about that in H4. They have said that it takes the fact being a pro out of the game, but it doesn’t. Halo needs sprint.
Stabilizers
They can be turned of.
Ground Pound
OK, I think that ground pound has a reference to CoD, and I don’t like it that much, but I gave it a try and if 343 gives you GP make some kills with it.
Slide
It’s just so awesome
Charge or whatever is that thing called LOL
This ability makes the one sprinting much stronger so I think that if you are sprinting you should be more on Def not ATK.
All this abillities should be added in to the games long before as they represent the spartan.
The Halo series actually took very little from COD, and has simply kept adding to, iterating and extending previously existing concepts which date all the way back to Halo CE and beyond. For a description of how Spartan Abilities are nothing new, read this: Everything wrong with Halo: Twitch Gameplay

“Nearly every other fps”
How wrong. AW is pretty much the only mainstream FPS with abilities somewhat comparable. And I don’t see any Call of duty advanced warfare 2 coming soon.
And if you say Titanfall, no. Titanfall has double jumps and wall running. Halo 5 has neither.

crysis has abilities that are very comparable, ground pound, slide, ads, clamber etc and that game has been out longer than titan fall
People compare because its about the similarity in regards to the totality of the experience from a distance. Now when a casual watches Halo gameplay, they will see very similar kinds of things going on compared to other trendy shooters on consoles. This wasn’t the case before.
Its clear 343 has been inspired by the trendiest of trendy console shooters.

One of their pushes “is to make Halo a more accessible multiplayer experience. Historically Halo has been very hardcore and its had a very steep learning curve that has turned off a lot of players. So we want to help new players find success.”

Now when you look at the evidence from Halo 4 and Halo 5, do you see a trend? Or is it mere coincidence.
